So I found the formula for most things eve on this site.

When trying to figure out the production time formula, one of the variables is "Productivity Modifier". I haven't a clue what this is. Can someone explain it to me like I'm 6 years old please.

I believe it's the base build time waste at PE 0. As much as people like to get the equations and figure it out for themselves, all the BPO calculators really make it a lot easier on everyone :P

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Just enter the BP name in the field: http://zofu.no-ip.de/bpo

Gives both optimal ME and PE.

I'm aware of the BPO calc websites. However be of them give me the option to compare several different items on the same page. Therefore I'm making a Google docs page to do what I want.

The PE formula is basically the same as the ME formula.

Total Manufacturing Time for One Run = Base Manufacturing Time * (1 + Base Manufacturing Time Waste / (1 + PE Level)) * (1 - Industry Skill Level * 4%) * (1 - Facilities Modifier) * (1 - Implant Modifier)

The Base Manufacturing Time Waste is usually 25%. The only things I know of that don't use this value are POS fuel block BPO.

The Base Manufacturing Time can be found by looking at a PE 0 BPO (NOT the "you" value, the other one that is unmodified), converting the production time to seconds, and dividing by 1 + 25%, and round to the nearest second:

Base Manufacturing Time = ROUND(Manufacturing Time on PE0 BPO / (1 + Base Manufacturing Time Waste))

A rule of thumb that doesn't always work but gives you the idea:

When your ME is 0, you have a lot of waste.
When your ME is 1, you get 1/2 of waste as compared with ME 0.
When your ME is 2, you get 1/3 of waste as compared with ME 0.
When your ME is 3, you get 1/4 of waste as compared with ME 0.
When your ME is 4, you get 1/5 of waste as compared with ME 0.
When your ME is 5, you get 1/6 of waste as compared with ME 0.
When your ME is __, you get 1/__ of waste as compared with ME 0.

Can you fill in the next one?

And now I see that you asked about PE, silly me.

Well, it works the same way but replace "waste" with "wasted time".

The following should be of interest.

The productivity modifier is an entry on the invBlueprintTypes table, for that blueprint.
