Mining ships.

I think a New mining ship should be added to bridge the gap between the Venture and Mining barges.

You would create a ship that's only useable for a very short period of time, which is the opposite of the tiericide initiative.

To look at it another way it takes about a week to get into a barge:

1 day for science 4
1 day for mining 4
4 days for industry 5
1/2 a day for astrogeology 3

As it stands now each barge is good at something different (yield, cargo, tank) while the venture is good as a newbie miner and gas harvester. The problem with adding a ship between the venture and the barges is that the person will only be in one for a week or so if they focus on mining, but after would be a useless hull that provides nothing.

Unless you can provide a niche that it can exist in after the pilot can move onto barges, but to be honest the lineup of mining ships is in a pretty good place right now.
