I think that Bouh Revetoile has some great points that people aren't really thinking about here.

1. Drones are easy to kill, people not fitting points won't really be an issue. I'd love to encounter people who left off a point in favour of Warp Disrupt drones.
2. Web Drones exist, you don't see people not fitting points because of these drones. Technically, any ship has the range of a minnie recon ship / loki with these drones, yet no one calls them OP... in fact most people find them useless.
3. Most ships, to use these, would have to forgo other more popular drones (Damage and ECM for example).

There are a few situations where these drones would give a slight disadvantage and there are other situations where these drones would give a slight advantage. In the end, depending on how the ships are fit, it would all even out.

The only ships that might truly benefit are those with a large drone bay (Vexor, Arbitrator, Myrm, Domi, Prophecy).

web drones are not op, cause if you are webbed but not pointed, they in fact turn in your favor, granting you an almost insta warp.

and even a drake / cane would benefit from em, replace your point by a tacking disrupt, leave the point job to your 5 lights, wich will have no trouble keeping up with your target, and they cannot shoot the drones, and even i they manage to land ECM on you, they remain pointed, keep that in mind!

even if the controller is jammed, drones keep engaging!

If you're flying a ship that can kill drones, then at that point you almost deserve it.

A carrier with only 5 attack drones? Sounds like a decent fight to me.. I'd take it.
