The majority of my skill training has been in heavy missiles / cruise missiles etc i have not really put any training into light missiles and torpedos, would it be worth my time traing these up to at least lvl 4?

The nice thing for you, will be that the suport skills are already in place.

Imo:
T2 Torps are awesome for what they do. Short Range/High DPS/Selectable Damage.
If I am in a BS fight, Torp Typhoon is my ship of choice, by far.

I don't know crap about Dessie and Frig warfare, so other pilots will be more informed on that level.
Eve IS currently doing a lot of Frigate warfare.

Edit here: As to your question. Yes to level IV. (at least)

If you like using missiles, yes. As mentioned all your DPS and range skills are in place.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

light missiles -> just frigsize
torps -> bomber, BS(TorpGolem, TorpCaldariNavyRaven)

torps are interesting in some situations, decide on your own, there are never useless SP

many thanks for the reply's.
at the moment i have been bust training up the individual faction ship skills frigate & cruisers to lvl4 have destroyers to lvl 5 and just have battleships left to do currently on lvl4 and that is a 24 day training time to lvl5. i may stop and start this and split it with some torp skills.

Stealth bombers make torps worth training.

Are you interested in small ship combat? Then yes, you want light missiles and rockets too.

In my opinion every missile system except cruise missiles is worth training. I have seen them all used to great effect in PvP. Except cruise missiles.

I agree. Very disappointed with Cruise Missiles.

Torps are good in a few specialized spots. They don't do well when compared to turrets however.

They were fun when they had AOE damage and cool graphics, but neither of those is the case anymore.
