Null Sec ratting fits/ship?

Hello guys

I need a good ship and fit for null sec ratting

I dont know alot about ratting so i dont know what will work for me.

I dont have alot of money i have about 50mill due to being scammed today lost 300mill :(
So please bare in mind i dont have bill's to spend.

I just need a good cheap fit and ship for null sec ratting.

it deppends what rat type you gonna face, with 50 mill you can have a thorax for serpentis rats, maller for blood/sansha... eer I guess you can just go with minnie cruiser or even missile caldari for the damage selection and be good vs almost every rat type

with 50 mill thats pretty much what you can get for belt ratting

gonna need more then 50 mill to rat eficiently on sites...

fit: I usually go with dual LSE´s+DCU+extender rigs and the biggest guns I can fit plus damage modules

you're in sov space?

or are you in a more hostile envorment?

If the later, I´d run a couple of highsec missions before you lose your last 50 million

i joined a corp/ alliance with goonswarm and others so im allready in nullsec i lost my monye by being scammed in jita so i need a ratting ship/fit to get some more isk

Your alliance is mostly stationed in Branch which is gurista territory. against guristas, you should deal kinetic or thermal damage which means that missiles are best, followed by hybrids and then projectiles. for 50 mil, you could afford the following ships with fitting: Caracal(Shield/HAM), Moa(Shield/Hybrid), Rupture or Stabber(Shield/Projectile) or Thorax(Armor/Hybrid).
Any of these should do a decent job at farming guristas, at least better than all the other cruisers.

If you choose to disregard the rule of not flying what you can't afford to lose, you could try to fit a cyclone or drke with your 50mil. It will dry out your wallet but in exchange you get a more solid tank and in the case of the drake a little more dps than a caracal can bring.

I should buy an Ishtar.

this is where your corp/alliance budies should come in and help you in a drake (I'd say they should have a couple stationed there)

start deep in alliance terratory, you should have that Drake earned back within a couple of hours.

Potentially, your corpmates might lend you a few ISK to get a ratting Drake on the go?

i have a thorax but im not much help to the people in vindicator's but they have me in there fleets so i can get a cut of the bounty's to help me out

vindictors and other large ships typically have trouble killing frigates. a thorax can come in very handy with that. just make sure to not asplode when the NPCs switch agro on you.

I should buy an Ishtar.
