9.95 for 30 days!...Those ships...

Ok well my question is a rather simple one I guess. What are those four ships you can choose from. If some of you don't know what im talking about for people who are upgrading from the trail account till march 30th you get 30 days and a ship for 9.95! I plan to take that deal but I am wondering what those ships are. There are no names on them and well im new and cant tell just by looking at them. So would someone be so kind as to tell me what they are?

I believe they are destroyers, likely the new Retribution ones: Algos, Corax, Dragoon, Talwar.

EDIT: Seems some sites have offered limited editions ships, like a faction Catalyst destroyer.

If a frigate, it may be one of the corporation probing frigates: Sukuuvestaa Heron, Interbus Imicus, Veroker Probe, Saruum Magnate.

I can only guess without a picture!

Yes it those ship I can't seem to get that site to work for me. I plan to take the deal to save some money but are they any good as ships go?

They are all exploration frigates. I got one when I upgraded.

Any improvement on the vanilla version is minimal, although you can sell them for a few million isk. I think my IZS Imicus says it's worth 4.5 million.

Of course, some players might see one as a nice trophy to pad their killboard with.....

This^^. Don't fly it whatever you do.

You can't insure them and they make sought after targets.

It's EvE's equivalent of train spotting: "Oh look. a Sarum Magnate! I don't think I've killed one of those!"

If I were a brand new player, personally I'd just sell it. Last time I looked the Heron was going for 10m isk in Jita.

That would go a long way for a new player.

Agreed.

They are basically collectors items (or collector kills :p). They don(t have any benefit over the regular TI variant of the vessel.
So either collect them or sell em. Whatever you do, don't use them.
