I sure understand their marketing but why to make old long time paying customers to quit at same process.

Please explain what effect luminaire had on faction war because I must have missed it.

Second, my main complaint about the titan fiasco was that it was scripted and eve players were basically relegated to standing there and watching from the sidelines.

And that's a valid complaint.

Frankly, most of the people that participated were there for padding kill mail counts, with the hopes of also getting in on the blowing up of supers. CCP squashed that part by taking the final blows themselves, so the verification of those kills will never show up anywhere most likely.

As for those who did actively fight to protect the titan, it's been pretty well documented on the forums and elsewhere that the players were doing just that...until CCP intervened and made sure their scripted event (and ultimately the destruction of the titan) became reality. It's very anti-sandbox, but at the same time, it's not like the Gallente gained buffs or anything of actual value out of it.

CalMil needs to weed out the whiners, farmers, and entrenched leadership if it's really going to go anywhere. It's difficult to say that, but it's the simple truth.

TBH I only really heard about the titan event through a pirate friend who had an alt there that he was watching it unfold.

From his accounts it was just like watching an EVE tv series but more boring cos not much really happened for the players.

But vOv it was in HS and ultimately getting an NPC titan killed there has no real change upon how we do business.

I know I'll still be shooting people whenever I get the chance and some titan in HS doesn't affect that in any way. Now however if the titan allowed me to dock in a Gal HS system and gank Gal noobs without penalty then I might have been interested.

So this IS about CCP removing the caldari titan f rom highsec? I agree, this is a CLEAR sign of CCP bias!!!! CCP should regain some integrity by removing the other 3 factions NPC titans from high sec, Oh wait LOL. Also, im not sure what measure you were using to say we were losing at the time, since we hae had more systems than caldari for about a week now.

For those of us not into the lore, this thread serves as a substitute to what we seem to be missing out on. Thanks for that at least!

Welll, hidden snack has put you under pressure from the ticking clock CCP, ACT QUICKLY or you will miss out on having to repeatedly ban these few IBS roleplayers over and over again. lol

I understand, i was dividing person, however this problem should not be considered on personal level ... more on the principial level.

Wish i could say its been a pleasure. Though this is probably the first of three similar steps needed to remove the cancer at the heart of calmil, and to remove the burden of taking a game FAR too seriously from the hearts of those 3 people.

Few things bother me lately.

Why stage a live event if the outcome is already set?
Caldari won more matches - aka winning.
But the titan still 'crashed'. - Rigged event and a waste of time. Feel sorry for the Dusties who bothered to log in for this farce.

There was only ever one planned outcome as the 'crashed titan' appeared in Dust a week earlier than the event when CCP decided to test the map before the event.

Then the unneeded nerfs to Caldari bread and butter ships/fits:
Heavy Missiles (Tengu's now no good due to this)
The Cormorant mid slots.
Then the Drake.
Now the Hookbill is getting a nerf cause the Gallente are too fkn stupid to rail fit with decent tracking.

There is a clear pattern forming here and the rest of CCP should kick someones ass for this biased 'balancing' of eve.

Corax nerf next? Or will they just lower the already **** dps of light missiles?

CCP - PLEASE ANSWER THIS - How did the Hookbill magically become 'overpowered' with zero changes since the frigate balance and without any changes to other faction frigates???
Hookbills been ok this way for years and is certainly not invincible (unless you are fail and fit blasters to everything. )

List of Gallente ships/weapons nerfed in the same time frame:
ummmmmmm.......

But seriously - Corax or Griffin will get the next nerf after hookbill.

The meta has changed since the rebalnce of the frigs.

The hookbill hasn't changed yet it is now deemed OP as people are mainly sheep and fit out ships like everyone else. The HB is a powerfull ship true but not unbeatable.

Think of the rifter.....nothing about it changes but now people say it is crap. why? mainly cos they can't think for themselves and modify their rifter fits to counter the rebalanced frigs of others.

When the navy frigs get 'balanced' the Firetail is gonna own everyone and we'll be back to a 'winmatar' state?!?! meh lets see.

Wow, this thread is full of fail.

Basically you could all have just written "BIBIBIBIBIBIBIBI HERP IM A POTATO" and your posts wouldn't have lost any value.

Seriously, grow up.

CCP, there are off buttons for ship explosions, missile effects, turret effects, etc. "Immersion" does not seem to be harmed by those. So, please give us a persisting off button for the jump gate and autoscan visuals.

destruction of Titan over Caldari Prime

To be honest I think we all knew the outcome of that one (not due to CCP bias or anything but because it probably would have taken most of us Caldari FW pilots so long to get down to Luminaire at such late notice AND we all knew the fastest autopilot route from Ich/Onna would be camped to b*llocks... also not that many players interested in RP events/storylines anymore).

Regardless of the outcome, or how it was planned, or whether any bias was involved etc... I am just glad to see major storyline based events happening within the community again. It has rekindled my love for the RP side of EVE again and I will definately be making more effort to get involved from now on.

So next time any of you FDU pilots come-a-plexin in Black Rise I dont want any OOC nonsense in local! Big smile

Serious note though, shame to see you leave and cancel your accounts. Been a good FC to CalMil for a long time now and always brought good fights.

The Tinfoil is strong here. But, as an Amarr RP'er, I do feel the slight bias, storyline-wise. I'm getting a little sick of seeing my peoples being whitewashed as the archetypal villians (alongside the Caldari), and while EA and T1 did a lot to nuance the stereotype (Jamyl is awesome), it is becoming quite apparent that the Gallente and Minmatar are fast becoming the "good guys."

EVE is a muddy, dark and gritty universe, where the distinction between good and evil is a lie. It shouldn't be so archetypal, and I sincerely hope CCP is only beginning the overtures of change, that the wave of good guy propaganda is merely a fluke and not the hallmark of a future trend.

Frogblast the Vent Core! When the W'rkncacnter came, Pthia was killed, and Yrro in anger, flung the W'rkncacnter into the sun. The sun burned them, but they swam on its surface.

To be fair, the hookbill isnt really going to be nerfed that much, I was dreading them changing slot layout and losing a mid (like when they killed the cormorant and took its mid slot awaySad ) A little extra mass isnt a massive issue when you have something scrammed and dual webbed, just fit T2 AB and fit a couple +5% implants for extra speedyspeedy.

I get about 1400m/s+ out of my current hooky and implant setup so cant see it being that much of an issue.

Yet again CCP have shown a distinct lack of professionalism in dealing with so-called "conflict of interests" within their own game. To have developers mainipulate the game in order to have one faction gain an advantage over another is just not the way forward. No other mature, proffesional organisation would allow this to occur. If it did, it would be known as a corrupt organisation.

CCP.....sort yourselves out! Grow up!

So, whining about the Luminaire titan loss, I presume.
You are of course aware that Gallente players had no ability to stop it from arriving in the first place? Is it okay for one side to be able to do things without player intervention, but not the other?

CCP's live events team do a fantastic job.

I agree.

Even if they rigged all events so caldari get buggered up the tradesmans entrance at every available opportunity, i'd probably love it more. Everyone loves the underdog Big smile

Most don't use scram/dual web hookys anymore.

If CCP were not full of crap and this was really a balance issue - they would be nerfing the incursis(removing a low slot) at the same time. But they are not. Everytime we get a decent ship fit happening - it's nerfed to stop the fit being viable.

Oh yeah - I'll add cormorant to the nerf list in the post above. Ty for reminding me.

what a disgraceful comment. what do you think people that have suffered under communism in your country would think of you throwing around the term on a space fighting internet game?
