Lost all my Chat Windows and cant get them back

This has been replicated inadvertently by me and my flat mate when our Router decided to go down. Now we cant reopen any chat channels. The only chat channels that seem to work is fleet and local channel.
Anyone seen this before? I will get round to submitting a petition and or bug report when i get a chance

I have rebooted machine, Run the repair tool for the client!, Cleared all the cache and settings and still no joy!

already did everything on the linked thread, nothing works

when i type into a chat i get The specified proxy or server node (886617) is dead

The specified proxy or server node (886617) is dead.

Restarting client and machine had no effect. Can't even join channels manually, can't open or receive convo requests from other pilots.
