Renewed call for Gallente acceptance of dropclone soldiers

President Roden,

Today our space fleets won a great victory against Caldari oppression in space.

On the ground, however, the cloned soldiers fighting for our beloved Federation are demoralized by your decision to ostracize them. The Caldari are winning the surface battle and we need to motivate those dropclones fighting for our Federation by embracing them as heroes and valued human beings.

I ask you again to welcome the stable, later generation dropclones into our Federation and to provide asylum and care to the brave volunteers suffering from the Sleeper Affliction.

Kyaella. Those fighting on the planet below are, as far as I am aware, Generation 3 and 4 DUST troops.

The only ones being purged by Roden's order are the First Generation DUST troops. The ones with actual sleeper-tech based implants.

It seems an unfortunate side effect of the first generation implants is sociopathic behaviour, violent urges and a degree of schizophrenia.

obviously these are undesirable traits. especially in an immortal trooper.

Not indicative of corporate policy unless otherwise stated.

It doesn't matter who exactly Roden is targeting; many of the soldiers believe he is targeting ALL of them. Some express confusion over who exactly are the Gen 1 clones and how they will be found, others are friends and companions to Gen 1 soldiers and do not want to see them eliminated, and there are those who feel that this will be only the beginning of a complete purge (like what happened in the State; coincidentally, many of these soldiers do not like the State, or at the very least Heth and his men).

Wanting to purge the clones (any of them) will bring about hostilities from many of them. What should be done is a neutral party is contracted out to find the dangerous Gen 1 soldiers and help them; perhaps exchange their implants for safer ones, or give them space to do what they want (fight each other eternally or such; as long as it keeps them away from places where they can do harm)

Indeed, this is my point. The dropclones are very confused about who is and is not welcome in the Federation.

Earlier, I called for an equitable solution that would enable these cloned soldiers to become stakeholders in the rehabilitation of the afflicted soldiers:

I can only hope that our President will recognize the advantage in welcoming these brave volunteers into the embrace of our Federation before it is too late.

Seems pretty clear.

I am tending to agree if these soldiers are willingly still fighting for the Federation. I have not seen any specifics on why the Administration chooses to purge them all other than the few speeches and buzz words thrown around. I feel if more time is given, this technology can be perfected. More time and research should be given on this technology.

I find it fairly odd that all this talk about dropclone soldiers is going on, but not a single one has even brought an actual dropclone into the discussion. Sure, there have been stories from relatives and friends, but no actual dropclone has come here yet, not to mention a first generation one. Such as myself. Wouldn't it be better if you could record the actual opinion of a dropclone to send for our president Roden instead of just telling him stories of our relatives and friends?

((I hope no one gets pissed that I am a dropclone and posting for the very first time in here, yay))

There are so many podpilots gripped by disassociative madness to the point that they are far distanced from anything resembling human behavior (or shall we say "baseliners" and continue to pretend it isn't a derogatory term) that anyone daring to support the purge of any clone will put a gun into the hands of people in power who will eventually point them at our own heads, regardless of our "generation", age, implants, etc. Hey one day they may say my Lancer implants are defective, leading to me being strongly opinionated and too flippant about things to be a proper Khanid. And then what -- I am going to get forcibly biomassed because some techician made an "oopsie" and someone decides that my norm is no longer their own?

How ironic that one breed of clone is allowed to become tyrants and another is allowed to become tools. I don't care how insane they are - some of the best pilots I have ever seen fly were well beyond clinical, with behavior such as labelling, storing, and alphabetizing the corpse-clones of ther enemies, and no faction would dare complain because they want those guns on their side.

Unless it is planetary law in Gallente space to murder insane baseliners as well, the idea of killing any of these clones is more insanity then they could possibly possess in their own heads due to some Sleeper tech implants. A clone is only as immortal as the cloning facility allows them to be. If they are insane, the humane answer if there is some concern over their "immortality" is to discontinue their cloning rights and put them in an asylum, and let them die a normal *human death*, of old age. Accountability needs to be taken. Someone chose to implant these soldiers with questionable tech, but that tech should not elimiate their rights as sentient beings.

"They turn violent and hateful". Oh, really? *laughing* I suppose he means like 50% of every Pilot who has ever flown in space, ever.

Or maybe I'm getting a little too insane about this. Uh oh..

((edited for carpal tunnel typing errors. Or, perhaps, insanity...))

I can tell you now if Roden had not come out against the clone soldiers the ground war would have been clearly in the Federation's Favor.

My men had the choice of two leaders who wished on us nothing but genocide. We ended up taking ISK from both gladly and destroying ground forces on both sides with exacting efficiency.

See? Not so different than 90% of my associates. *winks*
