If you were stuck on a gate, if you couldnt log in, if you smashed buttons for hours without result. Twisted

No.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

I didnt like it but not for any of those reasons, all that is quite normal if you've lived in null a while ;).

As events go it didn't hit the spot because players had no effect on the out come. It was nothing more than a bar room brawl in space. It could have encapsulated the spirit of eve if that battle had been fought by players from the FW groups and their capital ships; or if players could have changed the predetermined outcome. That and the commentary was terrible; it was like bad sporting event commentary when it should have been something a little more RPG like, given the context.

Seriously the event started at downtime, suddenly deciding you want to see it right before the battle started was a bad idea, next time just show up early

I sat for hours, on the titan, listening to the numbers increase , and the fustration getting higher and higher from the fleets about people not in the system taking up space in squads and command. Poor people did everything they could to get in. Poor sods only could get in when we popped noob pods Twisted

Nope because I was there and it was damn good fun and when CCP switched concord back it went from damn good fun to a truly epic event.

I have to say the TiDi worked amazingly.

I haven't been in any properly big fights since 2006, when I got sick to death of the 'disconnected', 'modules not working', 'rubber-banding', random 'ship appears in nowhere', oh and the icing on the cake "wait, how can that one guy fire when no-one else can?!" crap.

Dipped a toe in in 2009, low-sec, big fight round a POS, same crap.

Yesterday? Well that' was a revelation for me (as I’m still only involved in small scale normally):
Ability to warp in/out multiple times, warp to objects/fleet members on grid, align to blap small targets of opportunity, broadcasts working perfectly, TiDi is seriously good (warp tunnels are a little trippy in slow-mo, but in a cool way…)

Oh and -1 for OP, event was awesome.

I, too, skip work to attend spaceship game cutscenes.

Every time you post a WiS thread, Hilmar strangles a kitten.
