Yep the same culprit that seems to strangle EVE connections from the antipodes is at it again. Can CCP please do something to look into this issue? Tracert follows:

This is the same sucker that hits us every few months or so - always the same IP. My latency is through the roof and rendered EVE unplayable. At least last time it was just random discos with good playability in betwen. Now the latency is consistent and permanent.

After performing the same trace, I get this:

over a maximum of 30 hops:

Which is then followed by a second tracert to see if it is consistent:

Trace complete.

It seems this may be a Western Australia-specific issue, though I'll be damned if I can figure out the cause, as the drops are happening at random locations along the trace.

I'd like to also point out that this is the first time in two years that this has happened.

Nearly lost a Cynabal to belt rats I couldn't see, because the belt didn't load, and was forced to close the client via task manager when the regular big red X would not avail me. After several failed login tries, resulting in either Socket Closed or simple 'Unable to handshake' errors, I managed to get out of the belt with a nearly-dead ship, only to find I was unable to dock, as the game seemed to suddenly be experiencing a buttload of lag, which turned out to be another Socket Closed.

At this point in time, I am unable to log in at all.

I believe that may have caused my lag in eve every now and than iam in Western Australia to, As soon as i restart my pc its ok though so for me it may be a client side issue or a bit of both.
