industry slots question

Hi,
I have a question. Am new indy and so far i have 9 manufacturing slots with my current skills.
The questions is this... If i have put 9 manufacturing jobs in my factory can i put some BPO's in ME and TE slots also?
Or the BPO's jobs they cut my manufacturing slots?

Manufacturing and research slots are separate. Manufacturing jobs are increased by Mass Production and Advanced Mass Production. Research (ME, PE, Copying, Invention and RE) are affected by Laboratory Operation and Advanced Laboratory Operation

If you have 9 manufacturing slots and say 5 research slots then you can have 9 BP in manufacturing, 2 copying, 2 in ME and 1 in PE, for eg.

Manufacturing slots a character has is based on mass production and adv mass production, while research slots are based on laboratory operations and adv lab operations.

With both adv lab ops at IV and adv mass production at IV you can have a total of 10 research jobs running AND 10 manufacturing jobs running.

Research slots are bundled together so if you've got 10, eg a combination of 2copy, 3me, 3pe, 2invention etc to get to 10, not 10 of each.
This is dependant on your Lab Operation and Advanced Lab Operation, you start with the ability to run 1, then Lab Operation 5 gives you an extra 5, and Advanced Lab Operation gives you a further 1 per level. Most players stick at Advanced Lab Operation 4 as it takes a long time to get to 5 for the extra 1 slot it gives you, for basic research you can probably train up another character on the account to give you 10 slots in the time it takes to get the last 1 on the original character.

Yes they run independently, Manufacturing slots are nothing to do with Research slots.
