Windows 7 Pro 64

Also, I'm reinstalling because the old client stopped working. It would give the splash screen, but then when it went to full screen for the login, it would just be black for about 30 seconds and then crash.

No, I don't have any viruses. I work at a computer repair shop removing viruses for a living.

It seems the 7z files are corrupt, have you tried downloading them again to see if that solves the issue. If it hasn´t you can use the Generic Patcher to download or repair your client.

It can be downloaded from here:
http://content.eveonline.com//evepremiumpatch306979.exe

Simply start it up and it offers to repair a current installation or if there´s no installation in the default folder to download it for you.
