Hey everyone! We're interested in compiling a list of some all-time greatest tournament teams, and we'd like to hear your opinions. Going all the way back to AT1's radio broadcast, who do you think deserve to make a list of the greatest ever teams?

We want team/year combinations, so the same alliance can appear on the list multiple times for putting together great teams over multiple years. It's also very possible for more than one team from the same year to make the list as well (for instance from AT4 I would consider both HUN and SF a given).

Let us know what you think!

Winners of Alliance Tournament VI, VII, and VIII: Pandemic Legion. ATVIII (Hydra v PL) was the most anticipated finale, in my opinion, and it was a slaughter. So that team: PL 2010.

Only been tuned in for the last two years, but the hydra and outbreak teams were fantastic, so efficient in their execution, despite the borked final it really showed that you don't need huge alliance wallets or backing to have a quality tournament team. (Just dedication on the test server!)

I cant remember the year, but when Voltron released a deadly wave of bombs with perfect timing, and then proceeded to mop up.

But i'm slightly biased ^^

That was probably the most memorable match in the AT - youtube.

2012 Agony Unleashed. Amazing trick setups with ECM and the Tengu.

Also as a tournament team from the New Eden open, Asine Hitamas Team who crushed the meta with no support ship at all in any game, iirc.

Slightly biased perhaps :P

Agony always manages to break the mold and go against expectations with many of their AT setups, and the 2010 AT IIX Cry Havoc vs Agony empire match really brings that home. I'm sure commentators hate the agony team for always throwing them a curve ball. :P

That was actually my most enjoyably planned and executed tournament match.

My idea behind using the bombs in that match was that because our opponents were low-sec pirates that never ever left Rancer, they would most likely not know how to react to or expect bombs Evil

Worked out perfectly :)

Band of Brothers (AT1/AT2/AT3) - For being the first AT dynasty
Star Fraction (AT4) - For dethroning the BoB juggernaut in style
Pandemic Legion (AT6/AT7/AT8) - For being the second AT dynasty, the AT8 team in particular was extremely strong
Hydra Reloaded/Outbreak (AT9) - For accomplishing what both dynastys tried to do but fell short of (BoB/The Five and PL/Goonswarm)

I want to mention HUN Reloaded from AT4 and Evoke from AT5 but I don't know enough about them. Evoke looked like they had to beat a lot of big names to win their title though.

Fozzie wants to hear about teams, but want to talk about matches. Shocked

My favorite match was Goodfellas vs. Dead Terrorists in AT 6. The hero Nighthawk was awesome. God I loved that match!

A little biased here since they are a part of SPCA. now, but Percussive Pizza Time Diplomacy from AT X get my vote. First time AT pilots, first FW ALLIANCE to play since Inferno and they did quite well (making it to the finals and beating some good teams).
Besides, who else has ever purchased pizza for the commentators? Big smile

PL and Hydra are always fun to watch as well.

HYDRA / Outbreak AT9.

Whatever else maybe said about that finale, putting not one but two teams in the final; well you can't be much 'greater' then that.
