Orca - What can it do/not do?

Hi all,

I know I'm not new but have to ask the title question because I've read some conflicting sources regarding this. I'd ask ingame but I'm away from my gaming computer.

I know it has a corp/fleet hangar, but can this be used for non-industrial ships?

Does it have a fitting service (according to the EVE uni wiki it does).

Thanks

No, however the ship maintainace bay is not restricted to ship type.

Yes, its available for fleet mates to use along with access to the fleet hanger, but only if the pilot in the orca configures it to allow access. That is done through the unified inventory interface.

A corp/fleet hangar can't hold ships.

That's the ship maintenance array on the Orca that can...and that one is actually open to all ships (as long as they fit in).

The Rorqual however does have the limitation that it can only take on mining ships or industrial ships.

Yes. Orca has a fitting service which you can enable for corporation and/or fleet members.

*Rolls eyes*, a packaged ship is basically a useless item, and clearly this not what the OP asked

Indeed, but it should be noted that an Orca can be used to move packaged ships.

An Orca can, on top of it's more special skills, also work as a very large (and slow) industrial.

Hi

Fleet hangar CAN hold assembled ships up to its capacity.

The confusion may lie with the Orca's larger cousin, the Rorqual, which has a Ship Maintenance Bay that is limited to industrial ships. The Orca doesn't have that limitation; I've flown an Orca serving as a jeep-carrier for frigates, destroyers, cruisers, and even a battlecruiser on occasion.
