Please do something crazy and chaotic, to EVE, for April Fools. Blink

Lower all of High Sec to 0.3 for a day... Swarms of Sleepers in ice fields... Funky Disco Hair Styles, Bell Bottom Jeans and Lava Lamps added to the Nex Store... Quafe issues a "Black Death and Thorrablot" special edition brew....

The perfect April fool would be to shut down the server at 11:30 on April 1st and not turn it on again until 11:00 April 2nd, then call that "hamsters shutdown".

ITT: People unclear on the concept of "April Fool's Day".

April Fool's Day pranks follow the formula of claiming something outrageous, when the reality is much more banal. For example, see the classic BBC "Pasta Harvest" special from some years ago. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spaghetti_tree_hoax

In the Eve universe, the equivalent would be for CCP to claim to be making some outrageous change but in actuality doing no such thing. An example might be claiming to significantly re-work the skill trees for capital ships but in reality leaving them as-is. Twisted

Or they'll announce they're goin to play an April Fool's day prank and then they don't, which is the April Fool's day prank. So in reality they did play one when they said they wouldn't which then creates a never ending paradox. This eventually causes the servers to crash but did they really crash? We don't know, it could just be part of the April Fool's day prank.

to see on April 1st ... but i can't remember if CCP ever really did something special at that day.

Either make Jita a 0.1 system for a day (with the appropriate rats on the gates) or incurse Jita for the day (again, with appropriate rats throughout the system).

Do the whole hog. Deactivate all the Jita stargates, turn it into -1.0, launch a full-scale Incursion, then temporarily remove the stations (when you log on you're forcibly undocked in your active ship). And have every station replaced by a Kundalini Manifest site.

That would be freakin' awesome.

Lowering security is so over-suggested. We should increase security in all systems to 1.0! It would be really funny to see 0.0 inhabitants getting concorded. lawls?
