Mining Crystal holds on Exhumers

Give all exhumers a mining crystal bay. Holds only mining crystals. The fact that mining crystals take up a good amount of m3 and can't be stacked once used is annoying.

Either get rid of the crystals or give exhumers a crystal hold... maybe 5k m3 worth or so.

Orcas and rorquals have a hold for just ore, maybe exhumers should have a hold just for crystals....

I suggest one of two Options.

1) Remove mining crystals and instead have the t2 strip miners effected by the individual ore skills.
Without the individual ore skill you cannot mine that type of ore. For every level you have towards that individual ore the higher percentage you mine with the t2 strip miners.

getting rid of the crystals would not be a great idea.. but a utility bay might be.

Taking away the crystals might not be the best idea as it may impact the market in some way. But I do like the idea of a crystal bay being added to exhumers.

Option two supported.

Agreed.

Option one is put in there for the sheer fact to present that in current form mining crystals are more of a headache than they're worth.

So either get rid of them or give us somewhere to put them.

How about no?

Seriously. Troll much?

Giving shortcut keys to mining drones isn't gonna make mining any easier than it already is.

You intentionally come into my threads and disagree with what I say just to **** me off.

however, you fail at that cause I don't get pissed, I can just report.

Allowing mining drones to have shortcut keys has nothing to do with you, and there is no negative outcome because of it.

You simply came in here and disagreed simply for the sake of disagreeing with me = troll.

Or you can stop being a paranoid little twit for half a second and realize that I actually do believe this is a stupid idea. All this serves to do is make mining easier. You have a cargohold. Keep crystals for different ores in there, swap as you need them.

Is it really that difficult?

Giving a second hold for crystals does not make mining easier, it simply allows for more organization.

Crystals can't be stacked. Are you a miner?

Cause I'm willing to bet that 90% of miners would agree that a crystal hold would be very nice to have.

Because it would make their lives easier.

I want an ammo hold for my ships. And a loot hold. And a corpse hold. Can I have those too?

I'd support a crystal hold if the space was taken from the base cargo space specs that are currently in-game.

That works for me too, but the orca and rorqual got ore holds without taking away from base cargo.

Was it needed? Not really

Did it make minin life easier? Yes..

Is this any different? Nope.

I support this product and/or service.

TBH, a crystal hold is worthless (FYI, I mine -- a lot). Mine with a fleet (orca, or at least a hauler if you're newer) ... dump into corphold/jetcan/secure can as necessary as cycles end.

If you don't want to work with others (or at least alts), then you deal with the downsides.

Also, if you don't want to use crystals, dont. Get T1 strips and have at the rocks.

edit -- @ Joe, yes they did lose base cargohold due to the ore hold.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

The hold isn't because the crystals take up cargo space. It's because they can't be stacked, so wanna be able to put them somewhere out of the way

A secure can in space is definitely out of the way

sort by type when you have no ore in the hold ... all out of the way at the top of your cargohold....

simple, elegant and effective.
