Capital Shield Transmitter range... Am i being Dumb? What am I missing?

So... If i right click on my Capital Murky Shield Screen Transmitter, which has a Base range of 16.5km according to attributes, I get the range of 57.75km. I am using this on a Nidhoggur though and I have lvl 5 Minmatar carrier so according to ship skill bonuses i should be getting, "50% bonus to Capital Shield and Armor transfer range per level"

Now... my math is bad but shouldn't that therefore be 16.5km X 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 or am I wrong? Even if it's multiply by 250% and not a cumulative number I still get a different number than the 57.75 I am seeing.

How are these ranges calculated? What am I missing?

Just can't figure it out :-/

I'll give it a stab..

16.5 + (16.5*2.5) = 16.5 + 41.25 = 57.75

or

16.5*3.5

Most of the ship bonuses are a single entry into the equation so if they are +10% per level at L5 they are +50% and these do not suffer diminishing returns.

In your care, +50% per level is +250% at L5 to your already base 100% of your installed mod.

I wouldnt worry about the range. Just the lack of cap to use it, the lack of tank to survive, and the inability to work in a similar tanking gang while fitting said tank.

Still - if repping POS, then I can only rofl .. you need energy transfrer and you get no range on that!

With that math the fighter range bonus on Carriers would be 24,300 % at skill level 5.

They could fly to Jita for me and get stuff.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

WTB: Courier drones.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Personally I thought this was hilarious. Only because it is Monday.

I never seen these people in my life. I don't recognize them Your Honor
