I have a anchored Gallente Medium Control Tower in a 0.7 space with an (ice belt) in-system

I am looking to get into the Industry side of this game and would like to know how I should setup my POS

I am thinking about making copy packages to build capitol ships and sell the packages.

Start smaller than capitals if you are just starting. If you want to continue with that get some labs up and start researchin the cap bpos.

The setup would depend on what exactly you intend to do. If you want to copy bpos then enough advanced labs to get the job done. If you want to make t2 ammo, then ammo arrays and a basic lab for invention would work. So once you decide what you want then get enough arrays or labs that have the types of slots you need.

OK, thanks for letting us know.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Shouldn't you have all this planned out before you anchor the POS?

Generally, that means advanced mobile lab (which has the most copy slots). Have your corporate office in the same system as your POS so that you can do research on blueprints that never leave the NPC station. For this, you need Scientific Networking skill. Place the BPO in the corporation hanger at your office. Copies will be delivered to the lab at the POS. ME/PE research delivers to the corp hanger at the station. This way there are no valuable blueprints in the POS. There are some other threads on doing this, so you may want to search a bit.

For defense, search on the forums for "dickstar". Do not set it up like this.

In the future, it is a bad idea to announce that you set up something valuable, and where you set it up. Otherwise folks think "loot piƱata" and come bash it to see what valuables fall out.

Words from the wise right there.. Wait, thats just common sense, never mind.

Theres a 0.00000000000001% chance of success with HighSec POSs these days, just thought id share that info..

I disagree with that statement. Depending on what your definition of "success" is though. From high sec I can run an operation making me enough ISK to PLEX 3 accounts and still have plenty left over to do w/e I waned with. After fuel costs and everything else. It all just depends on what you do.

I'm doing pretty well following the secret technique of "blindly do whatever IPH tells me to do, buying from sell orders and selling to buy orders."

I guess I'm just one of the 0.00000000000001% Bear

I do quite well, also, so I guess I'm part of the [miniscule] percentage. Wow, there must be a metric CRAP-TON of industrialists in EveO!! P

Yes, well im including the 'i-wanna-POS-cause-its-cool-and-makes-money' factors as well, it makes us (people who have a starbase and can run it for profit.) look better.

All you need is some common sense, basic math, and adaptability for the flux of the market trade, and your good to go, if you need to come onto the forums and ask what to build, you should not be looking to start a Manufacturing POS, keep it in the station.

Apart from Power and CPU availability, anchoring costs nothing. Now, if it is fueled and he is trying to figure out what to do... that is another matter. Blink

Cloaking is the closest thing to a "Pause Game" button one can get while in space.

I figured it would be fueled.
