Hi all

I was wondering if EVE online was compatible with 3d surround vision with Nvidia? I want to play EVE on 3 monitors.

Thanks in advance.

Considering the amount of people that play EVE on multiple monitors, I would have to say yes.

I took a look at the compatibility page on the nvidia website, and eve has 1 out of 5 stars. Sad

3d vision compatibility

p.s. - by compatibility, i meant for 3d. Surround should work fine, as I've heard of other people using it without a problem.

i would love to see someone try--being an ATI fan, I was not aware Nvidia made the logical step from rendering objects in 3D space to displaying them in 3D

you never know--it might only be because EVE is set in space, and compared to an enclosed environment or even one with a floor, the number of 3D objects to render is low.

a "Poor" rating doesn't necessarily mean "impossible"

No, you cant play EVE in 3d surround. We'll, you can, but it's not recommended.

Yes, you can play EVE in 2d surround across 3 displays. I run Nvidia 2d surround on most of my games on my 3 24's. It looks amazing. You truly get a sense of scale of the universe. The only issue I have is some of the nebula look pixelated. But not all of them. Stations, ships, planets are excellent and the star fields really pop out. Captains quaters on 3 displays...WOW!!

If you want to play at max settings, you may need some beefy vid card(s) in order to achieve a good frame rate. Playing across 3 monitors uses more vram than playing on 1 monitor.

I have 2 GTX 680 4gb in SLI. But Im sure EVE doesnt need that much to run on 3 monitors

I mean, this isnt Unigine Heaven we're dealing with here.

Eve was one of the first games I tried out with my 3D vision2 kit.

Quite a horrible experience, it's as if some of the 3d elements are being rendered outside of directx technology.

Hmm I don't think 3d spreadsheets would look or work that great.
