How do I add a new contact via Eve Gate?

In your Contacts view, search for the character or corporation you want to add, using the search box in the upper right. This will provide you with a list of characters, corporations, etc, from which you can view their details and add them to your contacts list as desired.

Note that you can also add contacts from the character name in the forums, if that's of any use to you.
