It depends entirely on the tactics your facing off against. Popularity is mostly defined by usefulness and therefore defined as much by your enemy as it is for by you.

They are all pretty close to each other now though, a lot closer then they used to be. By that popularity is hard to calculate.

EVE needs to allow ship builders to cut corners in all the least noticeable but important places. Save build cost and perpetuate repeat customers, it is a win / win for everyone involved.

You could try building and selling catalysts (or mining barges) around Halaima, think they go through them fairly fast around there.
