K so me and some old freinds were talking.... We understand how there are people in EVE who are not that good at PVP .... Some even Stink... Thats Ok ...... Our thought was in any war there are mechanism's to facilitate this lack of knowledge for PVP. In EVE this is seriously lacking. Shocked CCP would ratyher like thios idea as well cause it adds an element to the game that would be hard to predict as well as hard to defend ...... One time use Suicide AOE ships... similar to a bomb but a player flys it to a location then detonates the BOMB.... Its something EVE dosen't have and alot of other games do... For Concords sake this tool could only be used in low and null sec... For apperent reasons... I honestly think of how this would change fleets and the compostion .... Shocked Thee would actually be a place for an unskilled PVP person to help defend territory... True you would have to pay for the clone but small price to pay for deffending your home. Higher ups think about it ....

STAPLES MADE IT EASY WHY CAN"T CCP!!!

I think CCP needs to go further.

How about instead of suicide they launch this bomb off the front of the ship where it travels a certain distance and explodes.

In fact let's make it even easier and make the ships that do this invisible.

Get on it CCP.

I wouldn't do invisible... No fittings at all on um ..... PURE basic Big red button... no brains .... This is soley intended for those who either don't have the skills to fight or who lack knowledge of PVP... The lonely indy guys that always stays back when the Roam gos eout :) he could fly one of these and have a quick trip home and make a contribution at the same time... It benefits all parties and gives the FC's headaches what more could you ask for..

dude.... stealth bombers. 20 of them set up right can wipe over 100 ships and pods off the map... you dont need a suicide nuke type.. tii smartbombing battleships work fine enough

I understand this... But your thinking like a PVP guy stop and think like a rock hugger for a few minutes... I can go out on a roam with very few skills to fly this ship... I can suicide on an enemy when we find one.... I have made my contribution.... i get a quick trip home toi mine more rocks ....... Point is no SKILL point is QUICK TRIP HOME.... damm offer this and you could have 30 indy guys lining up that would contribute instead of pretendign to be AFK when it came time for the 8pm roam ...... NO SKILL..... and i don't have to go 30+ jumps back in this ship..... facilitate a way for indy guys to participate in PVP has never been simpler

i was a... "rock hugger"? also. griefers made me learn that pvp was eve very fast starting out. a 2 weeker in a thorax can contribute far more in a fight than a suicidal moron wasting isk hoping to blow something else up

You think pvp in eve is hard? How hard is to push F1, lock target, push F! etc etc? Its only marginally better than wow when you are a grunt in null.

Now when you are leading those grunts, or doing a small gang or solo pvp that has no comparison at all. In any other mmo that i know of.

So pvp in eve is not hard, its what kind of pvp you chose makes it that way.

I would like to pee vee pee (?) but would prefer a way that doesn't involve me training any skill higher than what you need for a velator class frigate and civilian railgun, (can't remember which those are and can't find them on the market atm, bug?), anyways, anyone have some suggestions?

Suicide Catalysts already infest the game like STDs at a jock bar. But if you really want OP's ay-yi-yi-yi-yi-yi suicide ship then just take a destroyer - any destroyer - and load it with eight smart bombs. There ya go.

I agree.

Smartbombs not only need a buff, they need a dedicated ship for the job.

If that ever happens, you'll wish it didn't.

Trust me on this one......... :)

That's ridiculous and you know it.
A destroyer, equipped with small smartbombs, couldn't even disco a pod reliably before sentry turrets fry it.

This perfectly displays the kind of low quality combat you either partake in, or see from others.
There's more to it, although you probably wouldn't believe that anyway.

Seriously, if you are so unskilled and braindead that the only PVP you can consider possible is to press a button and suicide self destruct your ship, then this game as a whole is definitely not for you.

Everyone has been "unskilled" at some point. What you need to do is LEARN, TRAIN and LISTEN. There is always something useful you can do.

Train a frigate and stick a tracking disruptor on it. Thats about 100 times more useful than your idea.

You're useless because you assume you are.

Let's hope if they ever give us that kind of ship the bonus will be "each level of the ship skill trained reduces the range limit to use on station undock points by 1km - up to being able to use them at 0km with lvl 5". Lol
