API Key and Eve Fitting Tool

Does it still work? I keep getting the following error message:


"Eve API server has responded with following error:

Key has expired. Contact key owner for access renewal."

Most of the information I've read seems to be well past its use-by date.

It used to say that it takes some time after the key is created before it's valid. Perhaps give it a few hours?

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Got a new key, tried it. Same error. Waited for a few hours, tried the key again. Same error.

There are two places to get the API keys afaik:

https://community.eveonline.com

and

https://support.eveonline.com/api

Tried both. No luck.

Any help greatly appreciated.

As nobody else seems like they are having this API issue, it looks like it may be just a bug you're encountering. I'd advise taking it to Gripen himself (developer of EFT) in the EFT thread.

I had a similar issue. Not exactly sure how I fixed it but I think you need to delete the key from eft first.

Go to api, hit update then generate and submit. If you dont hit generate it'll keep the same key.
