I don't understand how people fit guardians.

EFT is set to all skill at V, and CPU and PG are still WAY over the limit.

Here's what I've got:

(HIGH)
Large Remote Armor Repair System II (x4)
Large Energy Transfer Array II (x2)

(MID)
10MN Afterburner II
Sensor Booster II

(LOW)
Armor EM Hardener II
Armor Thermic Hardener II
Armor Kinetic Hardener II
Adaptive Nano Plating II
1600mm Reinforced Steel Plates II

I haven't decided on rigs yet but I can't imagine any of them will fix this problem. Do some of these mods need to be T1? Or are there good meta 4+ variants to any of them that aren't incredibly expensive by comparison?

Any help I can get on this would be fantastic. Thanks!!

Usually meta 4 reps/transfers, and rolled tungsten for plates.

This seems fairly typical for a 4+2 setup:

[Guardian, Cheap 1600mm Needs +1% PG]
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Armor EM Hardener II
Armor Thermic Hardener II
Adaptive Nano Plating II
Damage Control II

Experimental 10MN Afterburner I
Conjunctive Radar ECCM Scanning Array I

Large 'Regard' Power Projector
Large 'Regard' Power Projector
Large 'Solace' Remote Bulwark Reconstruction
Large 'Solace' Remote Bulwark Reconstruction
Large 'Solace' Remote Bulwark Reconstruction
Large 'Solace' Remote Bulwark Reconstruction

Medium Ancillary Current Router II
Medium Ancillary Current Router I

Trying to fit one all T2 just doesn't work.

Is my standard go to fit for when dont fly specific fleets. I hate having to use implants to fit since I never know what clone I will be in due to having all 4 mindlinks in my clones. So when the call is just, grab a guardian the above fit is what I grab since it will fit with all 5 clones i got (yeah one doesnt have a mindlink since it is my 0.0 clone).

its cheap so i dont have to worry too much if it gets derped

2x Ancilliary current router, and possibly dropping some of the reppers and the plate to Meta 4. You might also look at dropping one the cap transfers down to a medium, especially if you have Logistics 5 and most of the people you fly with do as well.

Faction EM hardeners are often very cheap and save you a ton of CPU. You might also want to look at using a PG implant.

Personally i'd probably use this

It's cheap and it can tank way more than any 1600mm fit, and no implants needed.

Quote:

[Guardian, 4/2 Rep]
Adaptive Nano Plating II
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Damage Control II
Armor Thermic Hardener II
800mm Reinforced Steel Plates II

Hell if you're up for the challenge there's even this with a 800mm plate on.

As others have said, drop down the modules to best named and fit ACR rigs. Here's what I came up with for my last WH corp:

[Guardian, WH Logi]
Damage Control II
Armor Thermic Hardener II
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane II
Beta Reactor Control: Diagnostic System I

Cap Recharger II
Cap Recharger II

Large 'Solace' Remote Bulwark Reconstruction
Large 'Regard' Power Projector

Medium Ancillary Current Router I

Use ECCM or other mid-slot modules as required by the situation on hand. This was for a minimal-skillset "Logi Pilot" role, with better skills you can replace some of the modules with faction and T2 and put in a few T2 RLARs. Those help a lot since they do cycle 10% faster and thus rep more and allow you to react faster as well if you have to move them to another ship.

[Guardian, WH Logi (improved)]
Damage Control II
Imperial Navy Armor Thermic Hardener
Imperial Navy Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Power Diagnostic System II

Cap Recharger II
Cap Recharger II

Large Remote Armor Repair System II

Large 'Regard' Power Projector
Large 'Regard' Power Projector

For Incursions I went with this fit, the main goal was to get as many T2 reppers on as possible:

[Guardian, T2 Reppers]
Imperial Navy Armor Thermic Hardener
Adaptive Nano Plating II
Adaptive Nano Plating II
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Reactor Control Unit II

10MN Afterburner II
Phase Switching Targeting Nexus, Optimal Range Script

Large Remote Armor Repair System II
Large Remote Armor Repair System II
Large Remote Armor Repair System II
Large Remote Armor Repair System II
Large 'Regard' Power Projector
Large 'Regard' Power Projector

Medium Ancillary Current Router I
Medium Ancillary Current Router I

It has a lot less EHP than the previous variant but the AB helps keeping it alive. I've flown this in many Vanguards and a handful of Assaults and didn't have any problems.

If you really need maximum EHP you need a lot of ISK and a +3% grid implant:

[Guardian, T2 ACRs (+2% implant needed)]
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
Imperial Navy Armor EM Hardener
Imperial Navy Armor Thermic Hardener
True Sansha Adaptive Nano Plating
True Sansha Adaptive Nano Plating

10MN Afterburner II
Tracking Link II, Tracking Speed Script

The other day someone in a guardian tried to rep me after a duel in Amarr. Everyone chipped in in teaching them why that was a bad idea. Just thought I would share that >.>

Is mine I use for incursions. I like the sensor booster over the ECCM as the ECCM didnt seem to prevent me from getting jammed less than when I didnt use it; so I said **** it. The sensor booster for targeting speed is winsauce though.

Edit:
I use both the genolution implants to make this fit as well as 3 peices of the HG slave set to give myself 68.6k EHP.

@Xia , why would you ever fit cap rechargers on a ship meant to cap chain?

There is also the RnK Kaboose variant for really elaborate chains that have good ecm redundancies built in.

What else would you fit? OP didn't state wether it was pvp or pve, but if it's pvp i'd definently fit ECCM on it.

For the kind of money you're spending there, you'd probably be better going with a standard PvP fit and buying a LG Halo set.

No just no. 1600mm plate is a must. The 800mm will never out tank a 1600mm fit.

I prefer cheaper and effective fittings, try this:

[Guardian, t2]
Reactor Control Unit II
1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plates I
'Refuge' Adaptive Nano Plating I
'Refuge' Adaptive Nano Plating I
Reactive Armor Hardener

10MN Afterburner II
Conjunctive Radar ECCM Scanning Array I

Large Remote Armor Repair System II
Large Remote Armor Repair System II
Large Remote Armor Repair System II
Large 'Regard' Power Projector

T2 reppers have a cicle time of 4,5sec while meta4 have 5sec, so 20% more rep amount over time.
Reactive Armor Hardener is nice to have, but you can also put another resistence module

The fit is rather old (predates the anti-ECM-skills by a year or more) and we often had problems being jammed by the Sleepers despite mounting ECCM. The unjammed Guardian had to keep reppage up as good as possible until the other Guardian came back. The folks in charge of fitting decided to have Cap Rechargers just in case.

And yeah, that was for a two Guardian setup. With three Guardians you'll never need the cap.

I've made the same experience in Incursions and usually for a RSeBo or Tracking Link. Besides, jamming ships always get primaried and die really fast - mounting a module to counter them turned out to be a waste.
