Jove space and CCP's "playground"

Okay so my friend was wondering if you could use a jump drive to hop over to those "unreachable" places and set up camp, i personaly think this is insane, but he and i were wondering if anybody had tried or knows if you can get into jove space or CCP's playground, preferably jove space but you get the point.

Also, say one was to get in jove space, what would one likly encounter there? Shocked

Thank you for the help.

Jove space is empty. There is no way to reach it, without participating in the tournament.

You need to fit a MWD, face your ship in the right direction, and wait for a few years- does not matter how long exactly, as we are immortal.

There is only one other known way of getting there (other than entering the tournament). Follow these simple steps:

1. Go to an appropriate (any) system in Venal, in your jump freighter
2. Light up a cyno in Cobalt Edge, using an alt.
3. Jump
4. Mid-way in the jump (may take a few tries to get the timing right), log off.
5. Self destruct the cyno generating ship
6. Log in.
7. Voila! You're either in Jove space, or stuck in limbo forever.

Edit: The reason for specifically using a jf is to first fill it up with goods from Jita to get in on the act, as I've heard that devs make a killing selling overpriced stuff in Jove space.

Any colour you like.

Won't work. Back when you could create 50au+ away from any point in the current system via bad scan probe results, you still wouldn't actually enter another system, or region, despite being in what SHOULD be that other system.

As for the distance you will travel, assuming you are in something fast like a dramiel, perma-running 10km/s, (loki links + mwd will work), you will travel 315 million km/year.

1 AU = 149,598,000 kilometers, so to travel even out of even the 15au or 25 au, I forget which it is, bookmark limit imposed on solar systems now (When they cleaned up all the super deep safes), lets say 15au, that distance alone, which is easily still in the solar system you were in when you started, would take 7.12 years.

The deep space BMs were removed, but not the ability to travel there.

You need to be persistent. One of my alts has been en-route for more than 2 years. He's reached the outer limits of the solar system, and I expect him to arrive in Jove space before the current galactic cycle is over.

afaik there's nothign there.. some people HAVE managed to get into Jove space a couple of years back, because they could setup a medical clone over there in some of the stations and then suicide their pod to get there.

Note however, that this was deemend an exploit, and any means of going there is also considered an exploit.

Knowing this, if I ever were to figure out some kind of means to get there, I would, damn the rules. So I could say 'I was There'.

also, the tournaments are held in Polaris I believe, which is locked off from any part of the game.

Not that it would work, but did somebody actually try doing it like 1000 times in a row or so? The close-by systems are like 1 ly away usually.

1 lightyear =~ 63240 AU

i just locked an open door.. strange, yet symbolically compelling.

Nothing. There was an exploit to get there in beta and it's basically empty.

just like the mwd method it wouldnt invoke a session change to the new system

so you would show up in jove space on the map but you would still be in your old system

(your cyno being killed while you jump lands you at the sun in your destination system, you don't get stranded halfway through your jump, but +1 for a creative attempt at getting a jf kill)

If you ask very very nicely on SISI, a dev or GM may teleport you there if they're drunk. They could also say no.

There's certainly no way that would happen on TQ though (aside from either the Tourneys or if they're doing an RP event).
