Guardian Incursions (A few questions)

Have been doing incursions in some of the local chat channels for a few weeks now and am wondering a few things:

*This is all in armor fleets as I haven't trained for shield fleets*

1. Are there any incursion fleets that are a bit more shiny (people who run more a site in under 4 minutes) that have a public channel or somewhere I can go to find them?

2. Does anyone have any fits besides the basic fits around the web?
Currently I am running:
Guardian
2x Large 'Regard' Power Projector
4x 'Solace' Remote Bulwark Reconstruction
2x Shadow Serpentis Tracking Link
1x 1600mm Reinforced Steel Plates II
1x Core A-Type Armor Thermic Hardener
1x Core A-Type EM Hardener
2x Centii A-Type Adaptive Nano Plating
2x Medium Ancillary Current Router II

Any ideas or suggestions on the fitting is more than welcome! I can swap out a tracking link and the steel plates for tungsten for MWD fleets with with a 10mn Afterburner II.

3. Is there any information on the fastest incursion fleets (any VG or any of the others), sheilds or armor? (or hull, because that is pro).

So, any

I started a thread awhile ago to try to consolidate some of the knowledge on Incursions.

There is one armour group that works from min/max point of view TDF 'The Ditainian Fleet' pub channel, they will be able to help you get into more agressive fleets.

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.

I have actually been using the TDF for a while, but nothing really shiny in there, lots of very basic fits that float around consistantly and only 1-2 groups that finish site relatively quickly. Not that there aren't a few good FC's but many of the fleets I have been in have trouble finishing in under 6 minutes.

I have only seen a few 4 minutes sites, it the exception not the rule, it requires short warps and very light spawns. But personally I believe it is easier to do in a shield fleet since all the lows slots in a shield fleet are used to improve DPS and DPS Projection whereas at least two of the low slots in an armor are reserved for tank.

I would say as a logi 5 pilot you could easily cross train into a Scimi or Basi to see how the other side lives. We have a couple pilots in ISN that fly both armour or shield depending on what fleets forms up first.

If you want I can drop a scimi and basi fit in here so you can see what you will need.

I mean I have seen sub 4 minute groups, and even ran with them but that is on the rare occasion everyone is fit up really well. Thats why I was curious if there is anywhere I can look for groups like that or do I have to sit in pub channels all day waiting to get picked up :P

As there is only one well organized group that does armour, your kinda stuck with them or Pub fleets. There was a time when Legion fleet sucked in ISK at an extrordinary rate with 90 second to 2 minutes sites, but those days are long gone.

Diversify and keep trying, groups run hot and cold as the richer a group gets the less likely they are to run all the time.

1. Blitz VG armor fleets run exclusively Oneiros with minimum 4 TLs, they dont have any use for Guardians. Armor MWD fleets work ok (and they use Guardians), but I don't consider them to be as competitive for a number of reasons - a matter of personal opinion P Run a good Oneiros with 4 TLs in TDF for a while, sooner or later you may get picked up. The various private channels are invite only.

2. The only change I'd make is to upgrade to all T2 reppers and swap out the T2 plate for a rolled tungsten if you haven't got a 6% PG implant. CPU is a bane on the Guardian, drop the deadspace hardeners and use faction instead. You don't need super shiny hardeners.

3. Shields atm have the lionshare of VG blitz fleets, typically ISN/DIN/ICU etc. etc. There isn't any official one for armor VG blitz, they do exist but they're all private ... afaik.
Stick around in the main armor channel "The Ditanian Fleet", they usually recruit from there.

Hi

Armor MWD fleets work way better than just OK but have very narrrow view on what ships they can use in their fleets :) (only guardians, T3s and mega hulls - vindi>kronos>mega navy) which makes availability of armor pilots even more scarce than it is :).

There is 1 shinny armor fleet that i know of that does awsome job (not my fleet, still not shinny enough on regular basis:) ) centered around legions, paladins and navy geddons, 2 4L oneiroses and 2 max boosters : armor and skirmish.

What I dont dont like of both concepts is exclusion of good share of pilots and ships (amarr, minmatar BS in MWD fleets, gallente, minmatar BS in elite static fleet).

That being said I am currently in favor of static fleet setup based on Tachyons/Pulses/425s/1400s/800s with 2-3 4L onerioses.

I have tried mwd fleet with guardians and with mix guardian and oneiroses setup (even 1 guard, 1-2 oneiroses) but found mwd fleet harder to execute and manage well (as Diego once said I have too many "noobs" in my fleets :) ). As MWDers don't outperform static fleet by much if at all and the wider availability of different BS hull that can fit in static fleet concept i choose to run static fleets.

Bottom line 4L oneiros for static fleet, passive tanked guardian with M4 reppers for mwd fleets but ask mwd fleet FCs about more accurate fits (I prefer guardian self sufficient and with T2 reppers :) ).
