Corporation Management & Anoikis space

Hi there,

As one of many corporations that are w-space based, I find it an utter pain to do proper Player Owned Station(hereafter POS) Corporate Hangar Array(hereafter CHA) management.

For one thing, the CHA only offers 7 tabs, and since many of us have more members than that, and most of those members want a secure hangar to put their stuff in, this becomes a problem. Ofcourse I understand that the "corporate" part of the name means to be coorperative with eachother in using the space. But however, this was designed back when there were no wormholes, no POS' in which people lived, cut off from any known space.

Wormholes are worth a lot, and any awoxer/thief can easiliy rob a w-space based corp to the last penny (even with proper roles, the members are bound to share a CHA tab). Next to that, there is the general ''safety-feeling'' about your stuff being secure in the CHA.

Also, this rights & permissions problem surfices in many of the POS structures.

We, POS owners need more control over our own POS. The POS is outdated and was outdated as soon as Anoikis space was introduced.

Now, my solution (open for debate ofcourse) :
Introduce the following options: Tab sizing (ability to resize a tab M3-wise) , Tab creation (ability to create more tabs accordingly, maybe in combination with the "Tab sizing" ability).

Or, if you want to make this more interactive, you could introduce a POS CHA Container that provides e.g.: 10k m3, with a password and accessibility through the CHA, and the appropiate rights & permissions with that.

Just my 2 cents..

How about a smaller (say 500k) hangar that could be launched for self, the way containers are. Launch for self, anchor, no tabs, just set a password and give it a name. Boom, done.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Good thinking, I like the idea, but such a structure would require more powergrid & cpu from the tower, whereas a CHA with extra tabs or with specialized containers would not.

On the other idea the personal hanger is something you want, so it makes sense for it to be the tradoff of 1 structure that drains CPU and PG per person. Say a large can of 100k that only is openable when within a POS bubble, thus removing it fro asteroid belts.

I agree that Corp management for POS needs to be worked at. In fact, "Launch for Self" needs to be added into the game. And, management systems based on how private channels works should be added. Admins, blocked, moderators, etc. etc.

But to solve the issue, a CHA could have a use of Station Containers to sort and protect individual assets (outside of ships). Not perfect, but useable.

Thank you.

"Launch for self" is indeed an option still missing, but since you can disable the ''corporate usage'' option , it is in fact launched for self for about 95%..

I've looked into station containers before, but i found that you can't really use them to protect individual assets, but only sort. No password, and it is still open for thieves and what not.

I never use CHAs in WH POSes for anything I care about anyhow - doesn't take that long to train an alt to a basic hauler or better a prowler and stick anything expensive in there. If the POS is RF'd and you can't defend it you lose access to anything in your CHAs.

Ships are another issue tho and a carrier alt to log them off in is a bit more skill intensive and costly/riskier.
