update the EvE Wiki

I've just looked up a few ships on the EvE wiki and found out that the information on the EvE Wiki is horribly outdated.

a couple of examples:

Well ccp made a wiki, dumped punch of stuff on it and forget to update it...P Dosent suprise, they dosame with many many game features too... Example: Science& industry,pos and corporation role mechanics.

take a look item database, its next to useless..plenty of critical info missing that ccp´s robot should have dig from database...

We are Minmatar, Our ship are made of scraps, but look what our scraps can do...

Try logging in and you'll see why it never gets updated.

EDIT: Oh, damn. Worked in Chrome. With Firefox it tells me that the page is redirecting in an endless loop whenever I try to log in.

And THEN I find out that you can't actually edit any information above the table of contents.
So yeah, CCP needs to update their wiki. Players apparently are unable to edit it.

Yeah, I don't know what's up with that. I was actually going to start editing the page for the Prophecy but hitting edit just gives you all the text BELOW the template up top with all the ship info.

Maybe the wiki item statistics are based on a older version of the eve database dump, you probably can't edit it because it's added automatically to the article.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

maybe, but if you look at the Ship and Equipment sections they look a lot like they are auto generated based on the in-game information.

According to the EVE Wiki, the current year in the game's timeline is YC113, and as far as I know the current year is YC115.

You can edit pages with Chrome but you can only adjust the text below the item statistics. For example on a ship you can edit everything from the summary to the pictures.

Start the day off slow and taper off from there.

Fear not good pilots, we at CCP have recognized many of the problems that exist with Evelopedia.

We are going to be making a concerted effort to modernize the wiki in the coming months. We want to create a more usable and easily updated wiki, for all your EVE Universe information needs.

There is obviously a lot of work to be done on it, and we certainly can't do it over-night but rest assured that it is on our roadmap.

In the future we will likely be asking the community for their feedback and changes they would like to see, so keep your eyes peeled for that thread in the near future.
