Suggestions from a Newish Player

Hi All,

I'm reasonably new around here, and have had a couple of thoughts about the UI and a couple of things. I have a couple of suggestions that should make the uptake of new players a little easier.

1) On the Overview Panel - display the name of the system jump gates in the color (the icon for the gates will currently turn yellow if it's your way point)

2) Inventory, The ability to hide show columns. Also the ability to Show estimated Price in the inventory view as well - When your starting out, you can only sell 5 items, and mousing over all items one by one takes a hell of alot time.

3) Inventory, Would it be possible to create Sub hangars at all? when you have 200-300+ items it can get very frustrating sorting though items, if you where able to make sub hangars (or say even have 5 by default), it would help alot. Also been able to name them would be great as well =)

4) The Starting Career Agents (Going from Caldari - Jouvulen). Some of the missions are a bit over the place. Some of the missions are really out of sync. A couple of times you have to let skills train up before you can start (ones you have gotten in a previous mission), or you have to use items you haven't gotten from that career agent (but sometimes get from another).

Smooving out the Induction of the New players with the Career Agents would be great.

5) Training Queue (this is going to set the wolves on me i know...). New player Vs Old player, Several skills all 10-30minutes each VS 1 skill at 18D. I would suggest allowing you allow the Queue up to 48 Hours. When your starting out all of your skills are short and there is a lot of manage, once you have everything settled down (possibley 2-3 months), then you are training skills that are 4D+ days all the time - this would help new players manage their skill a little bit better and remove some frustrations out of the game.

Eve is suppose to be a harsh game, however it doesn't mean you have to start them off that way - you can ease the new players into the rat race just that little easier will help a lot.

Get your skill queue up to 20~23 hours then put a 17+ hour skill at the end so to make it that you always have almost 1.5 - 2 days worth of skills in.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

3) Its a commonly proposed idea. container are kinda sub hangars except that items on container don't behave like items on hangar (no repackaging/reprocessing/fit to active ship/trash/.../..... )

5) why not 72h or 96h? On the flip side why not reduce to 18h or 12h? Personally I just want it long enough so I don't have to wake up in weird hours for skill changes (like it was before the queue implementation). (To be honest I played a long time without the queue and really didn't feel the need until it was implemented. )

-CCP would boost ECM so it also block the ability of buthurt posting.

No. And you shouldn't look a Gift Horse in the mouth. Count your skill queue as a blessing and move on.

Spend 15 minutes adjusting to the awesome ability the queue gives you and you'll figure it out. There is NO need to extend it. And, you can extend the 24 hours by putting your last skill as a long skill. My skill queue is currently going for 36 days. That's longer than a month of game time. So, essentially, you have a 36 day queue to play with.

Your request is actually a smoke screen. You are most likely an alt that just wants to farm skills while playing on your other characters instead of micromanagement on a new toon. While I respect your request, I also deny it. Spend the 15 minutes setting up your skill queue and then add in a long skill at the end. By the time your FIRST DAY OF LIFE is over, you should have a few 4 day skills to choose from.

Thank you.
