Additional Voice Over For Ship's Computer

Hello,

I'm fairly new to Eve but I've noticed something about the nice computer lady. She tells us when our warp drive is active (even though we activated it and should know already), she tells us when she can't set a waypoint to the same location twice, and she let's us know when the asteroid is depleted.

What we now need her to do is give us a verbal alert that our Ore Hold has reached capacity because sometimes we are chatting while mining or take our eyes away to look at Eve related material (of course) and might miss the pop up notification. This is especially compounded by mining lasers that continue to mine even though the ore hold is full giving the impression that the ship is still mining.

Anyway, just a suggestion. Thanks and Fly Safe!

Yay. This again.

Do some searching, please.

You have a verbal queue when your lasers turn off because of a full hold.

Other Options:
You have the ability to set timers on your trendy new iDroidPhablet.
You can buy a kitchen timer for a few bucks.
Your Casio calculator watch has a countdown timer on it. Do some math, on the watch, and voila! (and YOU said you'd never use math in real life!)

Thank you.

This is why I sometimes hate this particular forum. These types of posts. "Use the search function."

You may have seen it before, but I haven't. Many old topics are closed, or so severely outdated that it's worth bringing up a new twist. Sometimes a new thread is just as good, if not better, than a bump on an ancient thread.

Topics aren't settled if they fizzle out. You are not the gatekeeper of EVE. This is an idea forum, and you aren't bringing any new ideas to the table—you're only bringing the same tired, rote pessimism that's arguably more old and more repetitive than the most boring of ideas.

More voice cues would be nice.

Agreed optional voice overs. I'm pretty sure the creator of this video needs to do the voice overs for aura

If you read the forum rules, then you would know that it is ok to reopen a topic that has been locked due to inactivity. The times where it is said to use the search function is because there was a thread like this last week, if not a couple days ago.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Search isn't always that reliable. Same for going back ten or twenty pages only to not see the thread because they have obscure topic titles (this happens a lot by the way).

Backseat moderating is just as bad as not using search function. Unless these forums really ask for backseat moderating, I'd rather leave that job for the real mods.

Kindly reminding to use search is fine, but just as with "google it", there are times where all fails.

More voices would be great though. Maybe even have players add voices - or even submit some. I hate to bring WoW examples along with playermade addons, but that "BAM!" sound mod on crits is something I've been missing, heh.

It is unfortunate though that EVE and (crew) voices had always been a stubborn problem, but it's all in CCP's hand.

We see tons of anti-AFK Cloaking threads and each got their seperate discussions going.

Also, bumping an older thread of the topic is NOT helpful or efficient. Sometimes you have a crapton of unnecessary clutter above that people don't even look at the last (which is btw your recent) post.

Using tablet, typoes are common and I'm not going to fix them all.

The last bloody thing we need is a new voice-over enabling AFK miners to AFK mine more effectively.

You want better yield? You want better ISK/hr?

Pay attention to what you're doing.

there is an audio signal for when your ore hold is full.

It be the sound of silence when your mining lasers stop making noise.

It works. Beyond eve even. Like one day after a quick power drop in the building...the lights came on. And me and some other guy bs'ing after work are going YOu know...somethihng seems off. then we go oh we know what it is....the server room which usually has that mufffled droning noise thorught server room doors of 40 plus servers with several fans on them was not making that droning noise anymore. You see...server rooms should never be quiet. Power backup system in place epic failed that day.

Your mining lasers if hold not filled should not be quiet too.
