So haaaaaapppy ... so happyyyyyyyy .... Im practically flying .....

Here, sing with me:

Ding Dong the Witch Is Dead Lyrics - Maureen McGovern

Once, there was a Wicked Witch
In the lovely land of Oz
And a wickeder, wickeder, wickeder,
Wickeder Witch, there never was
She filled the folks in Munchkinland
With terror and with dread
'Til one fine day from Kansas way,
A cyclone caught a house that brought
The Wicked, Wicked Witch her doom
As she was flying on her broom
For the house fell on her head
And the coroner pronounced her dead
And through the town, the joyous news was spread

Ding dong! The Witch is dead
Which old witch, the Wicked Witch!
Ding dong! The Wicked Witch is dead

Wake up, you sleepy-head
Rub your eyes, get out of bed
Wake up, the Wicked Witch is dead

She's gone where the goblins go, below
Below, below, yo-ho
Let's open up and sing
And ring the bells out

Ding dong! The merry-oh
Sing it high, sing it low
Let them know the Wicked Witch is dead!

SCATTING INTERLUDE

Ding dong! The Witch is dead
Which old witch, the Wicked Witch!
Ding dong! The Wicked Witch is dead

Wake up, you sleepy-head
Rub your eyes, get out of bed
Wake up! The Wicked Witch is dead

She's gone where the goblins go, below
Below, below, yo-ho
Let's open up and sing
And ring the bells out

Ding dong! The merry-oh
Sing it high, sing it low
Let them know the Wicked Witch is dead!

SPOKEN:
She's dead!

********

Weeeee!!!! So happy! Finally something good, something nice!!!!! .... YAY!!!!!

I do believe this is the reply that Kirjava was waiting for. Something told me you were going to be ecstatic.

Thats brilliant and prophetic.

So Brujo what do you think will happen now? Elections in 30 days or the VP will twist it like theyve done since he went off to Cuba?

What will happen is the usual, one or the other top govt guys at the top will vie for power, they will mostly win, unless there´s some strange dark shadow plot conspiracy agenda I am not aware of. But the way things are going, and following history, things will happen mostly like in Panama after Noriega´s oust and the PRD using the image of former national hero Omar Torrijos

In our case, the Political party that supported him will use his memory and the PSUV will win democratic elections for a few years until eventually a few disgruntled guys form a solid opposition bloc and alternate power for years. (our current opposition is a joke)

Like someone said, once the venom is inside the body for so long, it doesnt matter if you cut the snake´s head.

I am just happy for the historical milestone. The guy is gone, good riddance, what happens next is something that is simply more or less the same.

My country is gone for good, a place so foreign to me now as any other country in the world. I am officially a citizen of Venezuela in paper only, not in spirit.

I came to accept that a long time ago.

All I have ahead is the satisfaction of having seen him dead and the bittersweet feeling of knowing some of my dead friends have been avenged in my mind by nothing less than "fate" ... or like our government sponsored VP said publicly : "Obama´s Cancer Gun" I don´t care. He´s dead, that´s all that matters to me.

The future is for the younger generations, may they grab it by the horns or be trampled by it in a bloody fashion.

In that department , I am at peace now.

My current social/economic/political position will not be improved by him gone, my lost assets, the seized and expropriated assets of my father/family won´t return either, my dead friends will remain dead and those that had to flee and seek asylum due to political persecution will remain abroad. Nothing has changed, and like most things, life will continue the same for me.

I am a man that lost almost everything but his dignity. Were it not for me being able to foresee things I would be a pauper, like a lot of close aquaintances, forced to remain in the country not out of a sense of patriotism but due to a sense of hunger and families to feed.

So in short, all I can say is I toast tonight from my little shack in the foreign woods, remembering the days when I toasted from my castle in the ancient kingdom that is no more.

He´s dead, and in the end, I have the sheer satsifaction of having seem him buried.

May the worms grow fat off his putrid carcass.

Salut!

You mean like brujo will get cancer?

Like all evil people get cancer, since they deserve it?

I can't in good conscience celebrate the death of another person... As bad as he was. I actually consider both Maduro and Cabello worse.
I agree that the Venezuela I grew up in is gone.
It wouldn't surprise me if Maduro says that since the country is grieving he won't hand the presidency to Cabello until next week, if he does, Cabello should then call for general elections in 30 days, where Maduro will be the PSUV candidate and most likely win. So six years of an even worse president. That is the most likely scenario. Worst scenario is Maduro just keeps power since the Tribunal supremo de Justicia could just allow it to happen; in that case I doubt Cabello would like it too much, and he has the military on his side...
Ultimately Chavez's death just means uncertainty for Venezuela... I still have plenty of family there and fear for their safety.
