How does on sell a system that is not occupied and can be taken by anyone? looking at the market forums people are trying to sell systems are they just selling the boommarks to the WH its self or what? I see this a big scam is all

If you find yourself in a fair fight in EvE your tactics suck!!!

They are not selling the system, they are providing access to a system. They are providing a service, not a good. It is a legitimate transaction and has been happening since day 1 of wormhole space being made available.

I have been WH third party, it works.
One party gives me the amount, the other fleets me or an alt to the WH (sometimes inside in case the sold WH is accessed through others), I tell the first party that the WH exists and is as requested, the first party gets fleeted and comes to me at or in the WH. Once they arrive I give the ISK to the seller.

Not a scam at all.

It's like paying someone to find you a flat for rent. Their only involvement is finding the location and relaying that information to you for a fee.

I used to make about 1-2b a month selling wormholes.

There are many scammers, which are easy to avoid by using third parties.

As a general rule, you can only sell holes which do not have active towers in them. Holes with active towers are occupied and very hard to take over.

It's very legit assuming you are careful. Randomly buying a system without a prior relationship with the seller or a 3rd party holding service can go badly. The key thing to remember that there is no sure way to find a system of a given type with given statics. I've been involved in searches for a corp's new home that took multiple weeks to find one with just right set of planets, and statics. Given the amount of time and effort involved it can make sense for people with more isk than time. Also buying a C1-4 with capitals included in the deal can be very desirable as it's painful to build them in hole.

Completely different. They are charging you a finders fee, not selling you the actual space.
