I wish you the very best of luck in your experiment and will watch the results.

We had that once, before we redeployed to Anoikis.

Legend has it that man called it 'Local', and it sucked.

I may connect just to watch the fireworks, but I don't expect this to go anywhere good.

You are cordially invited Oniseki.

And the only fireworks will be those that people bring in with them.

I believe that Katrina is indicating that people are going to be bringing in weapons grade fireworks.

I'm actually running a good deal on those right now. I'll bring some if there are any left after the sale.

Rule 1 is an invitation for the elitists from The Summit to simply show up and vote people out, thus ensuring failure and allowing them to trumpet their own superiority.

Of course, if they ruin it to save their own hegemony over a certain segment of capsuleer interaction, I trust plenty of people will be interested in placing bounties on the offending parties. Feel free to place them anonymously with Discreet Bounties. I am currently charging no transaction fees for my services.

No one is voting anyone out, and no one has moderator rights. The buck stops with me. If enough people feel a certain way and I agree then that is that.

Actions have consequences so people should consider if their conduct or the way they treat others will have social repercussions, etc. Just because a group of people don't like another group of people does not mean the slightest bit of anything will happen.

Oh look, a Sani Sabik attempting to apply 'survival of the fittest' to a channel filled with capsuleers.

Now now
Let us not throw our collective toys out of the pram
I for one shall be observing this channel with interest and I wish you the best of luck madam Vitalia.

I do this for many reasons. I do it because I believe it is right. I do it because I will profit by it. These all consolidate into one reason: I do it because I can.

Nice way to sneak in a free plug, there Pilot Quaid but, I believe you're in the wrong part of GalNet for advertising your "service".

Do you understand how contradictory is what you just said, in the context of being put in actual practice?

I agree with Caine. What he's said does still show that you are in charge. It's like voting off the ones that are undesirable.

Of course I'm in charge I'm opening the channel.

The point was that there will be no 'mob rule,' or an 'in crowd' making decisions.

The idea is to have an extremely light and non-present 'moderation,' for most things, and let people sort it out themselves.

There is a complaint from certain capsuleers regarding the way the Summit is operated and I'm making an effort to give everyone a chance to prove or disprove their case.

So make of it what you will, or don't.

I share some of the concerns that have been voiced about this alternative venue. I am, however, one of the rabble that is not entirely satisfied with The Summit's moderating team. Therefore, I will gladly support this experiment and encourage as many as possible to use the forthcoming channel as an alternative, not as an addition to, The Summit for the entirety of the trial run.

To that end, I will be setting aside 1 billion ISK. I will distribute cash gifts at my discretion to pilots who are in the new channel but not present in The Summit. The amount of the gifts will vary. The time of disbursement will vary. Regulars of The Summit who are willing to abstain from that channel and give this test their best effort will be given more weight in my consideration of beneficiaries, though new faces are also eligible.

Try something new. Contribute positively to the experience. Get paid.

The fact that the Summit may at times be a giant circlejerk as they say, is only the mirror reflection of what capsuleers microcosms and more generally, human society is, independant of any moderation.
