Repairing and maximizing standings

So I have negative Gallente (and thus also Minmatar) standings. This wouldn't be a problem but my new corp's located in Gallente space and thus I need to fix this.

I've tried to do this a year ago but I got sidetracked after I hit the minimum of being able to fly in Gallente/Minny space and failed to repair my standings.
Since my Gallente standings are still above -5.0 and since I've done the tutorial missions already, I'm kind of stuck. Should I follow through on my repair plan and get a Cal/Amarr hit and fix those later with the datacenter agents or should I do something else?

Also, if I have repaired my standings (all above 0.00), what's the best way to maximize standings?

The rookie epic arc, Blood-Stained Stars gives a significant boost to the faction of your choosing, and doesn't decrease other factions. It can be repeated every 3 months.

If you don't want to kill your Amarr and Caldari standing, you could do Sisters of EVE storyline missions. The Sisters are very slightly negative to Amarr (-0.6) and Caldari (-0.15), so little that it really doesn't matter, but they are significantly positive to Gallente (+4.8), and somewhat positive to Minmatar (+1.5).

Don't forget about training Diplomacy and Connections either.

I've been doing Amarr, Caldari, and Sisters of EVE missions for 4 years, declining all missions vs. player factions. I aim to keep my Gallente and Minmatar above -2.0. I recently did Blood-Stained Stars to raise Minmatar, as SoE raises Gallente faster. Currently my Gallente is -0.45 and my Minmatar is -0.79 with Diplomacy 4.

Seems like I'll do that epic arc once again and do SoE courier missions up to the point I'll be able to start to blitz lvl3s.

Have you seen the Diplomacy skill? Not sure if you have since you didn't mention it, but it can help you out a lot.

I see I forgot to mention that. My bad.

It's at lvl3 right now, meaning my standings with Gallente are something around -3.something.
