what is a good low cost PVP ship for gangs these days?

like a small roaming pvp gang looking for trouble, empire war and 0.0

and with 2 characters being used at the same time, i want one at close range for tackling and dps then another that can be decloaked or warped in at long range for support like fire and forget thing, since using two it divides attention

Well, without knowing how you're skilled at all, I can offer the old standby of "Drake". It can be set up for both close up brawling and for longer range sniping; they work fine in gangs if you know what you're doing and, as with all tier 2 BCs, they're a great bang for your buck.

dual characters, the other one is definetely better suited for a drake, can use T2 Lasers but not very skilled overall, support skills are low
i just resub and havent had a chance to determine my income
what are the low cost alternatives for assisting a gang, for like a few good quick ganks until unexpected resistance is met then you die, and just get another one

For empire war / fagotry games you can dual-box something tanky/ganky (BC comes in mind) with either a Jammer (blackbird) or a RRepper (RR T1 cruisers work okz).

BB can be @ range and requires little micro-management (good for station games and roams/gate camps), while the RR ships can dock when attacked, as RR does not draw aggro.

You don't need the crazy range of the Logis if you are up against 1-2 targets for RR to be effective, and the BB is as irritating as any T1 cruiser can be...

well theres a few ideas come to mind when ur lookin that kind of pvp.

u can do the inty and sb gang with the inty as fast tackle ( you can also use any crap t1 frig with a long point ) and have the sb for long range dps with damps in the mids for ecm of sorts or

nano cane fast takle dps with sniper gank temp for the wtf effect, a fun idea really

u can also have a falcon long rang ecm with wat ever dps ship for the close range stuff ( a scorp works well for that as well)

Put your well-skilled Drake character in a nano-PODLA Drake for kiting around and getting out of tricky situations; have your less-skilled character scout for you in a frigate or something until they get better combat skills. Honestly, a scout will increase your survivability by ~90%, and barely needs any skills.

Scout is a good idea, another +1 to that

For combat, minmatar is FOTM right now, and that likely isn't changing any time soon.
