To be honest, in my opinion, Rokh is fine (minus the fact that it does less damage than Naga, but doubles as a fairly awesome blaster boat). The main problem with caldari hybrid line is that it lacks a hybrid upgrade in a navy or pirate ship (Vindi is gallente/minmatar, meaning caldari BS is useless) and that Ferox is kinda meh.

It's more of a solo PvE module to jump across missions instantly. I completely forgot this module even existed.

"Drone boat" normally refers to a ship that has some kind of hull bonus affecting drones.

They have stated that there is less disparity amongst the battleships than there was in, say, the frigates or cruisers. It's likely the Tier 1 ships will be brought up a bit and the rest tweaked a bit.

The Apoc is a crap model, so I'm fine with it changing -- the more dramatically, the better. I just don't want to see major changes to the Tempest. I like how it plays currently.

It won't affect fleet fights because no one has used megas in fleet fights for years. As for gangs brawling, the mega would definitely be much better with some more speed and agility.

My experience with battleships is quite limited but my initial feelings are that their range and scan res are a bit too low.

Alternatively if CCP finds that battleships themselves are generally acceptable, they could perhaps look at BS sized weapons and tweak those instead?

Impossible to make everyone happy, I've readed posts in numerous times where people asks for a change in the Apoc model.

And then there will be numerous posts with people mad because CCP made changes in the Apoc model when they do it ... lol

Personally I'd love to see changes in the Apoc and the Domi, never liked those ships.

no but you can train advanced weapon upgrade V and use that hybrid bonus properly and not trying to fit only neuts.
or if you are actually using hybrid on the ship maybe you can try to think that maybe CCP dont want you to use neutron blaster or 425 rails on a hull that already have a hell of alot of dps with the current stats

So then.... Maels and Pests can't fit 800's?
Apocs can't fit megapulse?
Rohks can't fit a full rack of neutrons?

the 425mm rails are pretty much crap, don't try to compare them to tachyons.

Doing 25% more damage isn't as good as increasing tank by 33% (ie, a 25% resist bonus), and in fleet fights, the added range translates to more applied DPS with rails far more than the mega's tracking bonus does (assuming ranges of 40km or more)

The gallente currently don't have any good fleet BS, but if I had to pick one, I'd say the mega, its slots allow for a better armor buffer than the hyperion, and it doesn't waste a bonus (the hyperion's active rep is useless in a fleet fight).

The Hyperion needs a buff somehow if the megathron is getting its EHP nerfed, or perhaps we should just give up on fleets of sub cap gallente ships, and conceed that the Moros will be the only gallente ship used in larger fleets.

I just wish they would do somethign to the tempest be useful as a Battleship.. not an oversized BC. Specailly sicne the megatron will become faster than the tempest (if it is going to be as fast as typhoon).


Tempest has no ROLE. It is worse AC platform than maelstrom, worse arti platform than maelstrom, and if it becomes less mobile than megatron, it will loose its niche as Giant battlecruiser.

God I hope they change the Apoc to look better. I hate that it is pre-gutted for my convenience.

And to be honest I think they need to maybe up the damage and hp of all BS hulls. Not a lot mind you, just enough so they fell worth it. A lot of the time I find myself in a BC because the DPS is only a hair under a BS and they cost a lot less.
