EVE won't open while Teamspeak is open

Starting today, I can't open new instances of the Eve client while Teamspeak 3 is open. The game continues to run fine once I open Teamspeak, and everything runs fine, even the overlay. When I click "Play" in the launcher and TS is running, the Eve client process shows up for a moment, then closes with no error message. Is this a known issue to anyone else?

I have the exact same issue. Can not launch eve.exe with TS3 already running - the process opens and then immediately closes. I only figured out that it was the ts3 client after seeing the OP. After closing ts3 down, everything is fine.

confirmed. cant load eve while ts3 is open.

Yes the same for me, must be somthing to do with the patch that came in at DT, as could get in this morning.

I was having trouble before DT, which is odd. It needs sorting quick though because its a real pain having to close down comms every time I log a toon out or drop connection.

I have feeling it could be to do with teamspeak overlay... Confirmed REMOVE TS3 OVERLAY plugin

Yes removing the TS overlay worked for me as well

TS overlay does screw up EVE if EVE is started before TS3. In my case, if I started TS3 first and then logged into EVE, it was fine and my TS3 Overlay worked as expected. If I do this the other way around, EVE would freeze and crash.

I have since disabled TS3 Overlay and I don't have anymore issues.

TS3 has always worked fine, even with the overlay on, despite which was started up first.

Rolling back the overlay plugin does not work either which makes me believe that CCP has changed something in the launcher that conflicts with the overlay addon.

You can just manually uncheck the overlay on/off without closing comms if you need to open a new client through disconnetcs and such.

Just wondering how many people that are having this problem also got the "Platform Update for Windows 7" (KB2670838) update on windows around the same time? was reading on the TS forums that its effecting at least one other game.

Uninstalling of update is said to fix it as well

The time of the windows update ties in perfectly with the problem and I can say that i've uninstalled it and all is working well again with TS3 and the overlay. +1 to you sir!
