I think the Chronicles gave a glimpse of the great lore Eve could have.With their (permanent ?) suspension, these two-week shots of EVE lore is gone.Dont you think they should return?(Plus they make a good past time for Ratting and Mining Smile.Well we could start finding explanations for in-game politics/technology/society advances based on modern day knowledge and figuring how they evolved, and how the daily life of a Cluster Citizen feels like, the 'inside' look the Chronicles tried to show..

Yep exactly I want new chronicles I don't shy if I say I'm hardcore roleolaying pilot stories make me happy :P

While i love RPing, it not only that.Eve needs to get more Story, more a distinct world with its people, customs etc.Incursions live events and such , are great, but for the general population are not available instantly and care free.And unti Incarna fully fledges, so we can walk inside huge stations and (possibly) interact with NPCs and get the real feeling of this world like CCP itself tries to, those little stories is the only think we had...and it is gone.

Sounds like you will be a fan of the Immersion Project which is "a central storehouse of all our lore." You can read more about it at the bottom of this dev blog by CCP Ginger.

Speaking of dev blogs CCP Abraxas will be writing one all about the Immersion Project.

A warm thanks for the reply.I Had read the Dev Blog and it might be my misunderstanding about Immersion, but it looked like it will be a store project for all the lore that already exists.So it will be a central portal for new Lore also?.I will understand if no more information can be disclosed as it is a future release, but a simple, no more details yes would be a nice.

Yup. Not all of it, perhaps, but certainly a central point for some/most of it. I don't want to speak for Hjalti/Abraxas here, but yeah, that's the plan as I understand it.

This is an area of most interest for me and others, I know a few who love to write their own tales and the like and having more information not to mention a storehouse of back-story to build the background and shape the world our characters live in. Please keep us posted on the developments in this area.

What about all the dust 514 lore that is coming out of the DUST 514 website, it so far has given us very nice glimpses of how the rest of the eve worlds sees us capsuleers and the daily goings on in stations, thukker caravans, etc.

Chronicles are welcome, but I'm not sure how much some of short stories actually add to the game. I much prefer articles on the actual background like we had with the early chronicles.

I want to know the names of past Emperors and what they did. I want to know about the management structures and policies of Caldari megacorps. I want to know about who is top of the Gallente music charts. I want to know about the traditions of the different Minmatar tribes.

The chronicles should definitely return. For the following reasons.

A) Much of the PF is still left in the dark, causing degrees of confusion and encouraging Godmodding.

B) New content is added without much background put in.

Maybe not 2 a week though. Hell, I'd be happy with 1 a month.

I agree with this, history is much more useful than random stories. And more importantly, I think history that would be common knowledge or that is indicative of the ways people commonly act or think is important.

Chronicles that have no impact on my character, other than my having enjoyed reading them are a waste of an opportunity for them to be so much more.

I think the new stories and whatever CCP is building for us should be a mix.It is nice our stories get interwoven with the lore of the game ( it brings the RPG to the MMORPG after all) but also the everyday life of the Cluster would be nice, since it will breath life to New Eden.Every Story teller knows that the secondary characters cannot take the front stage for too long, but they are there to create the backdrop of where the protagonists roam.
