Missions in Caldari space

Last night I started grinding my way up to level 4 missions with a character for the Caldari Navy faction and I noticed about half the level 1 missions I did (if not more) were against Gallente. A lot of these mission rats dont have a bounty but drop tags... That means I have to loot them otherwise I miss out on fair amounts of isk while grinding towards level 4 missions.

Now my questions: does this change in level 2, 3 and 4 missions? Or will there still be loads of Gallente missions that drop tags... And if that is the case, in what space or for wat faction should I be doing missions to get mostly rats with bounties instead?

Thanks for any replies & tips!

Doesn't matter what level it is, all Empire NPC's will have no bounty and almost always drop Navy Tags. The Anti-Empire encounter missions will also give you negative standing hits for ship kill.

Now if you want to collect bounties on NPC's (Pirate Factions), then decline all Anti-Empire encounter missions.

Small addition:

If u decline Mission, then there will be a 4 hour timer until u can decline another mission without standing hit. (this is per agent)

If u decline another Mission in these 4 hours, then u will get astanding hit on the npc corp the agent works for and on the agent.

Thanks for the replies. I am aware of the standing hits when declining more than 1 each 4 hours. I also am aware of the fact that empire faction missions give tags and not bounties. So basicly your replies didn't actually answer my question.

The thing is that I used to have a character that had access to lvl 4 missions in Amarr space for the Ministry of War and as far as I remember, he used to have missions with bounties about 80% of the time which are mostly against Sansha's and Blood Raiders and a bit against Angels/Gallente Federation. I was thinking that perhaps missions from Caldari Navy are mostly against Gallente Federation and not Guristas. Or am I just unlucky and might this be different with a lvl 2,3 or 4 agent?

Dont quote me but I seem to remember seeing more Cross-Faction missions at lower levels too, though this may have simply been due to the speed at which you can tear through the L1/2 missions if youre fit correctly.

Be wary of ignoring the faction hits for those - its MUCH harder to repair faction than it is to damage it.

The higher level missions still generate cross-faction jobs but since each mission will take longer (eating up more of the 4hour refusal refresh) declining them is less of a headache.

The part I love is where you get two cross-faction jobs in a row effectively locking that agent for 4 hours if you cant afford to lose the agent and corp standing for refusal.....

Additionally, Cald Navy does provide missions against Guristas/serpentis/Angels etc. You may see more of one rat flavour than others based on where in space you are running the missions.

I've never tracked the ratio as all I care about is the cash/loot/standing, not the name of the mark that i'm paid to kill (resist fitting options aside, that is)

I always believed the large amount of faction missions provided by lower level agents was a game design. The worse you make your standings early on, the harder you have to work to get them back later on, it adds in a safety margin to retain players that are trying to figure out the big puzzle; Gives them goals .

Things that keep me up at night;  Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state, Once you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another.

Thanks for your replies, these comments were quite usefull.

About fixing the faction hits: I have a character that was -9.36 with Gallente Federation due to doing all Amarr and Caldari Cosmos missions + massive amounts of lvl 4's and lvl 5's. Obviously I couldn't enter Gallente space anymore and fixed this by getting Diplomacy to 4 and doing the lvl 1 datacentre agents in Minnie and Gallente space. This fixed my effective standing to about -3,5. So not to bad.

But more on-topic: I will post how the grinding through level 2,3 and 4 missions goes as well to see if I notice any differences. But yeah, lvl 1 missions are easy blitzable.

I think so, i also use to get a lot of the Gallente missions while while doing the level 1-2 Caldari navy missions. I'm not sure if it changed because i changed agent, or because it just naturally changes in the higher missions.

Sisters of EVE have a L4 agent in Caldari space and they rarely give missions against Empire rats.
