So I have a hypothetical situation for you all, and I'd like you to tell me the ship you'd use and why you would use it.

Situation:

There is a T3 Cruiser (Loki/Legion) in an insta-locking fit camping a gate or station. He still has an armor tank fit. Your friend has a perfect, at zero warp in on him and has a point on him, but is in a small frigate and can't really do much damage. And don't expect that point to hold, as his frigate is fragile and he's new, maintaining poor transversal. You are sitting in a safe just out of Dscan range, aligned to the gate/station. You know that this T3 has buddies in the area, and 1-2 guys may show up in ~30 seconds in a battlecruiser or destroyers. You have to kill this T3 before his aggression drops and he docks/jumps.

The loss of your ship is ~ok~, as long as the T3 goes down, but obviously survival is preferred.

Assuming all V skills, what *Battlecruiser and below* do you fly, and with what setup?

Weapons flag is 60 seconds, so you have 60 seconds to kill him before he docks.

Assuming a 100,000 EHP tank, which is roughly what a legion usually has without any pimping, you would need 1666DPS to kill him.

I can't see you doing it without help.

100k EHP against lowest resist ? But I agree, it's almost impossible solo, at least with a battlecruiser or below.

Over heat your guns+point before enter warp, land shoot/point 1650DPS OH without any implant, add +5 dps implants for giggles.

Be sure this T3 pimpmobile is not being boosted by invulnerable T3 kissing whatever POS and that it's not a slaved Proteus/Legion pilot or you might forget about it.

Scan his fit plug it in to EFT/Pyfa, check out his kb for implants information (variable info but gives you an indication)

If it's Loki 1 Talos+your frigate buddy are enough, remember to over heat your guns before entering warp, you should be able to kill it in about 30/40 seconds, if you want to do it safely just add a gankalol 1200DPS Brutix to the equation and you might actually even pod it or kill another of his buddies.

Edit: if your tackler has enough roonm and fly ECM frigate it's even better

Single Talos is 1650 DPS but weak tank the legion will go through quite fast, rather take 2 of them or talos+brutix to actually burn through his tank faster than he can kill one of them, time he switches target he's already dead.
