Yes, but I'm making a new one :)

Or, maybe you prefer having my name on the first topic in this forum for a long time :)

This wasn't an issue of bringing fights, Insidious would have been incapable of bringing a fight to us as the balance currently stands. It just so happens that we played the long con this time around and it paid off.

We had a moros, 2 archons, and web lokis.

You played it the only way you could and it worked.
There is no glory here only cancelled subscriptions.

Lets move on

I think he was implying that dread-blapping would allow him to keep an army of T3s off indefinitely.

Wow. This will no doubt be an amazing paper given the limited two weeks of research that you conducted, not even culminating with the actual election.

On the elections issue, I will keep my word and not run, present the paper for the community (you'll see, its not so bad :) ), and contribute with something in the future.

You won't be presenting any papers as none of your informants gave informed consent to participate. If you had taken that methods class instead of shooting Internet spaceships you would know that research with human participants must always follow the informed consent protocol. Every semester I fail a handful of students for just not ~getting~ the basics of research ethIcs.

Sorry to ruin your day in yet another way. I know it must have been rough.

Edit: hell, the fact that you don't even know whether you have included minors in your sample makes it doubly as bad. Research on minors requires consent from their parents. You would know that too if you had been at school.

As long as you all accepted:

- playing EVE
- posting in this forum
- anonymous posting under a character name
- assumed the position of candidate in a election
- knowingly commented in a topic

....consent is implied (was given when starting all the above mentioned actions) and doesn't need to be explicit. It is public information and available for everybody to use.
I'm sure that you explain the concept of implied consent to your students.
