Need Advice on Grinding Standings...

So I've been running level 4 missions for Caldari Navy and my standing with them is 8.22 as of this posting. I want to start spreading the love to other corps within my faction.

I'm curious if it's more efficient to use my lvl 4 mission ships (CNR/SNI) when I start running the level 2's/3's or better to use my old ships I originally used when leveling up (such as my Hawk/Caracal/Drake)?

Also is it better to just straight up grind level 2's or level 3's?

Note: My social skills (connections, negotion, and social) are all at level 3.


Any advice is appreciated.

HML drake in lvl3s will most likely get you the best standings/hour. unless you can fly tengu What?

If you want to just boost your standing then doing L3 missions is the easiest way to go.
L4 missions are for making iskies not standings. Tengu would be perfect for standing grind although Drake can also work ( with lesser efficiency of course ). Just remember to fit some rigor rigs ( lots of frigs and cruisers in lower level missions ).


You should also train your Social to level 5. Whenever you get standing increase it's being influenced by this very skill. It's tier 1 skill so training it takes only few days and it will greatly decrease the time needed for standings grind ( I know this from personal experience ).

Thanks for your advice. I still have my old Drake, is there a 'new' recommended way to fit it since the patch? I heard it got nerfed, but haven't really looked into it.

I'm getting close to the Tengu, but still about a week or so out from flying it efficiently.

Using cosmos and some fw missions i got faction standings 8+ to amarr and 7+ to caldari in 3 days. To get access to all amarr/caldari agents.

sorry for my newbness... but what is 'cosmos' and 'fw' ? There's so much terminology I need to learn still.

fw is faction warfare u get promotions which give a nice faction standing boost. if u get 7.5 with amarr u can do a mission to get Hardwiring-Akemon's Modified 'Noble' ZET5000 and 'Smokescreen' Covert Ops Cloaking Device II. If you get 6 to caldari you can get Improved 'Guise' Cloaking Device I and Hardwiring-Michi's Excavation Augmentor. if you already have 5.00 faction standing you can run level 4 with any corp in the faction. No need to do lower level missions.

You are better off using the right tool for the job though.

ah that's good to know also! Thank you! I presume I should do the Cosmos missions that Katarina was suggesting in order to achieve this? That is, instead of going through each of the individual Corps within the Caldari State?
