Yep. What makes you think you will succeed, when everyone else before you has failed?

Also, Solstice, your new haircut is very nice =)

It's not about succeeding, it's about trying. If it fails at least I tried. If I get 10 people and we help 1 person, we still made a difference. If at that point people just try working together and start pushing back to just a matter of time. But I wouldn't have done it, it would be everyone's effort.

The reason all these resistance movements fail is because they think it's all about the isk.

Go away and have a read of James's material and have a good think as to why the paltry sum of 10 million is used for a whole year of trouble free mining.

Along the way you might well realise exactly what the whole campaign is really about (big clue: its's nothing to do with isk and your actions are helping it along nicely)

Not for me, admittedly. Don't see any good changes these zealots could make for the game, thank god the CSM doesn't have any real power.

I just don't like miners who don't AFK mine getting harassed.

I know there's a solar system in the Eve Galaxy called Halaima.

As for the thread title, who is Halaima Kickstarter and where is he or she imprisoned? More importantly, why?

So basically, you don't actually have a coherent plan for succeeding.

Good work.

Hello all

I'm not here for a massive wall of text or to RP my way to boredom, I'm here to ask for some help.

Now yes my Flame resistant suit is activated, and yes this is an alt .

The help I require is simple, I want to kick out all the new order and specifically his crazyship himself back to the fringes from whence they came.

They've never bothered me personally, but I just never liked the crazy loon and co when they started telling people how to play a sandbox game.

I'm looking to get people together to help the miners by offering to form up and patrol the mining routes.

Help can be support (perferably), ships, equipment, money to buy ships/equipment, in system boosts, intel, anything we might need or use.

If you want info, or to offer anything just get in touch with me via eve mail.

Help in kind is no problem but asking for items/isk just makes me think your an alt of James315 or an alt of one of his followers trying to play the situation from both ends.

Get some miners upset and making noise, get support from like minded players... profit

Yeah it's my right to use an alt, easier to set things in motion without the fanboys and friends trying to shake me down to get me to stop before I've started.

And anonymity is fun, am I in Halaima now, am I already targeting a new order ship, I could be anyone. Half the fun is trying to guess. And it's fun to see people say he's hiding behind an alt shield, burn him!!!!

Shows that you don't really understand how people work, coward.
And yes, it's your right to be a coward.
I would never try to take that away from you.
I also would never try to take away your justification for being a coward.

My messages point was that hiding behind an alt doesn't lead anywhere,
but more power to you if you *actually* do something,
unlike all the morons who just talk ****.

Got to love the fanboy trolls. I have read it all, and I've read the arrogance and the fanaticisms throughout all of it.

Why should a miner have to pay 10m to anyone just to mine without harassment from you?

They have paid to play the game already, adding any kind of additional in game monetary charge is the equivalent of a protection racket. But even when people have paid they still get killed and harassed.

I don't want anything personally but if people join and need ships I'd like to have some premise ones. I'd be happier some independent third party dealt with that personally.

Thing is I'm not a coward, I'm just being cautious, I don't want to be stopped before its started and only way i can do that is to use an alias until the times right for the plan to go full swing.

The constant use of the word coward isn't justified, the fact I'm trying to rally support for people I don't know for the most part shows I'm not as a coward would just not post anything.

I don't have a plan right now, if I did it would so far be me just trying help miners and let them do what they want.

If I had enough people it would be different plans would be created, but on my own plans wouldn't make a difference.

This is what I've noticed about the highsec miner/industry types we often target....it's about the ISK. The only thing they can think of, is the ISK. What we do *HAS* to be about ISK, right? There's no other metric for success. That's all they know.

Look over there at my portrait. That's a monocle. 800million ISK dohicky. Why? Cause I wanted to. IDGAF about that number, and most other New Order people are the same. We want to Play EVE. We want others to Play EVE. We don't want mindless scenery grinding up a wallet balance, just to buy a plex to keep doing it. They burn out, quit, and tell friends "LOL EVE sucks there's nothing to do."

If it were totally about the ISK, James wouldn't be paying for our suicide ships. We'd be charging a helluva lot more than 10mil for a full year pass (me, I'd sit on 25mil per month for real extortion). I think I've personally paid for 5-6 miner's passes, because they took the loss well, sent me a "hey, good gank, caught me with my pants down!", and chatted like human beings.

That mining pass is a simple acknowledgement that they play in the sandbox, where others can interact with them, and they HATE it. The other way to get the benefits of a pass, without paying, are to tank yo' ship, watch local, react when the bad guys come. For some reason, miners hate doing THAT too. Guess it's more of that multiplayer jazz.

But they don't differentiate between AFK and manned miners they force this payment on all. When I used to mine I ran 6 accounts over 2 screens and never botted or macro'd and still got accused of it. There's no way to prove who's there and who's not.

As for the summer being fun, I imagine that's a new phase in this indoctrination.

When your gameplay imitates a bot so closely that others cannot tell the difference (apart from you talking in local), you are hurting all of New Eden as if all your accounts were used for botting.

Or it could be that mining is bloody boring and probably the ones that pay attention are the ones with a second/third monitor... just saying... I mean, really, who has fun mining? Conversing with mining buddies maybe, but the mining itself? :p... ok... maybe the insane people with 30 accounts and that's all they do, but that's just kind of weird. But really, for those CODE people who are actually serious and not being just weird zealots, that's really the core of the issue. Mining is necessary, but it really is the most grating thing in the game. Nothing to do with any of the stuff you describe. People with multiple monitors will pay attention because they have a way to divide their attention. Others... well... honestly I'd say there'd probably be almost no miners if they were all forced to pay complete attention... and theeeen we'd probably all be screwed and back to an NPC controlled economy.

Now not saying that I have any problem with the ganking and the bumping, but I do have to question why someone would believe its the player's fault when its really just not a fun system *shrugs* Its about the ISK and manufacturing because that's really all there is to mining. Now I'll happily have my miner up on my second monitor, but hah, really, yeah, he's just an ISK farm for my main. Frankly I'd rather see ideas on how to make things more interesting rather than statements where the obvious reply is "no ****". Because again, when you get down to it, with the current system, miners are necessary *shrugs* Just saying, Lady I'm surprised your name passes inspection given the obvious meaning of the words in it.

Miner myself, the mechanic is amazingly boring. I solve it by being interactive in local, goofing around, watching for Bad People...you know, playing the game. It kinda suck that my work there is devalued, because other people choose to set lazor then go watch a movie, flooding the market. The mechanics of highsec safety encourage not paying attention. We're slowly trying to fix that.

Also, someone from such a learned institution should know, my name is Latin! "The plural of "areola", is "areolæ"/"areolae", which is pronounced /əˈriːəliː/ or /əˈriːəlaɪ/. "Areola" is the diminutive of Latin area, "open place"." That's what I make, little open places in the belts and ice fields. If you think my name means something else, you have a naughty mind, sir.
