Legion for Level 4s?

Ok, so my first guess was Tengu, and I like a lot of the stuff with Tengu, but I have a lot of armour skills, and I'm always kind of iffy about the Kinetic damage bonus for different missions.

I was looking around a bit, and with Amarr Tech 2 Resists, I was curious if a HAM Legion could work for Level 4s. It gets a flat damage bonus, and can probably get pretty tanky with it's resists (but suffer with the not enough lows problem). Has anyone gotten the Legion to work for normal PVE before? Would the Legion lose out both on lack of lows, and range over the Tengu?

Any advice on this would help.

Lack of range and DPS dont make it viable for level 4 missions if you ask me.

So can it be done? Of course tank is enough, but should you? Nah...

Yeah, it CAN work, but you will end hating it
Lvl 4 is almost all in appling damage without wasting time , and having a short range weapon , even in a fast ship , is not always a good choice
IMO the only HAM-PVE platform is Tengu

It's not too bad with pulse lasers. After the recent armour changes I've been able to swap the rigs for a bit more range. Currently getting:

806 dps @ 17 + 8 km with conflag
576 dps @ 50 + 8 km with scorch.

Which is competitive with a hml tengu firing em missiles.

If you want to fly around a ship that is much more beautiful than any battleship in this game, while completing Lv 4s with good survivability, Legions can do it. With time. If you use the high exp and kinetic resist at least. Locus II, dual medium reppers, one of them ancillary, two hardeners, you can put out 561 scorch to 40km. 730 Conflagration. With an absolutely silly tank and 3 heat sinks. And far, far cheaper than any machariel fit people will post for level 4s. Unimpressive completion time, but then I never said anything about impressing people.
