Question for you. Have you ever had a boss who discovered the settings used to shift between power point slides. Thought they had discovered fire and then used and abused the settings?


I've found the next best thing. Go set a route and watch the little coloured route squares appear. They don't just appear anymore, they flicker onto the screen. The EVE version of powerpoint transition abuse.

I've been trying to imagine the conversation or situation which led to someone saying, you know what would be a good idea.......

These situations all involve a great amount of alcohol, the desire to look busy when the boss was hovering next to the Devs desk or it was coming up on annual review time and there was a blank bit in the work load box of the self assessment form.

Personally I am hoping the job, along with that line in the sky, was done by some intern in between coffee runs and not by someone who could have been doing something useful.

On an unrelated note, any idea when we can expect someone to maybe work on giving us Drone status info when they are in the hanger? :-)

I was watching a show yesterday hosted by Mister T and he gave some really good advice about young people and drugs.

Above is what your post should be, and in a different forum subsection.

Mate, if you don't like the way CCP run things, cancel your account. Vote with your wallet. EVE Online is in no way "your" game, insofar as the effect your life has on the way CCP run their game. If you really think such a hateful post is ever going to be constructive, strike up a conversation in a bar and see how far your current attitude takes you.

Eh, I don't mind this. It probably took an hour to do, and brings more life into the dull UI.

Eh, I don't mind this. It probably took an hour to do, and brings more life into the dull UI.

To be honest, I find that feature irritating. But ymmv ofc.

No. I've never had a boss who was computer literate. On some occasions they just weren't literate at all (not exaggerating or joking)

Both features likely took less time to implement than it took you to compose and post this thread.

As far as the lines in space go, if you don't like them simply turn them off.

Actually it's probably a byproduct of the points on the route loading at the same time as the lines in space, which can take a brief moment for your processor and/or internet to work out. I don't think it's supposed to be a cool visual effect. I like it though.

No, it's not, it's purely visual. There is no reason whatsoever to send the path in chunks from the server and the route calculation probably happens client side to reduce server calculation

I like it.
