Depends on your definition of carebear.

There's the carebears that do industry and PvE, but accept that someone can and will ruin their day if they feel like it, and then there's the carebears that want complete immunity from other players, and in some cases NPCs to, while they do the same activities.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

A disease that infects games like the t-virus and turns them into zombies, mere husks of their former selves. Kill them on sight.

I don't consider the former to be carebears, only the latter.

Some people don't distinguish between the two and call anybody that doesn't do ship to ship PvP a carebear, I'm in agreement with you though, the latter are the true carebears, and give the rest of us industry/PvE types in the former group a bad name.

Any carrier is to be terminated on sight with extreme prejudice lest the disease spreads. The future of serious gaming depends on it.

True. The problem lies with those who want to remove any kind of challenge, risk, or choice, and generally limit the ways that players can interact with the environment and each other. Long live the sandbox!

Who do you call carebear? I will pod you with my mighty battle prorator.

Carebears are those of your second definition. Players who want to turn EVE into what it isn't.

lol I know that, you know that, but people still call us industrious types carebear. I think we either need a new name, or to reclaim carebear.

Greetings

Moved this thread over here, in the chance that it was not an obvious troll, and that the discussion about industrialist getting out from beneath the carebear stigma is actually on the constructive side. Also it does not belong in New players channels.

I know of carebear gankers.

Basically people in NPC corps who gank miners in hi sec.

The irony!

It's not like the miners are going to wardec them anyway, what does it matter that they're in NPC corps, so are the majority of their victims.
