So i've been asking in the miltia chat if anyone would be willing to let me tag along to learn the ropes of FW. I've been a horrible carebare for far too long so I set aside a chunk of isk to lose 20 or so frigates. I left my implant expensive clone and sailed out to sosala which i randomly picked from the faction war map that I don't understand.

But all that's happening in the chat is people bickering. Could someone give me some guiding words on what i should be doing? And when i say i'm a horrible noob to pvp, i'm at 16mil sp and have participated in a pvp fight maybe twice ever so consider me clueless.

Seeing as you're Amarr I suggest contacting somebody from Fweddit, they seem to be quite active and can probably point you in the right direction on the where, how and when of FW. They recruit from Reddit but probably have contacts in other FW corps that are actively recruiting, and whose chat isn't full of bickering.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I agree on FWeddit. They are active, and combat fleets form up around the clock. (Guys will shower you in free Frigates!)

FW without an active corp is kinda.... boring, and slow.

Come down to the systems around Huola and Kamela... there's always action to be had there. Twisted

Glad to see you've got some killboard activity already. The losses may seem pointless but atleast you'll learn what kind of ships the enemy typically fields. Probably makes you seem like less of a spy or farmer too.
Have you checked for Fleet Finder ads? I'm in a different militia but we do get pubbie fleets now and then, especially on evenings and weekends.

the Militia chat is mostly bickering and posturing, yep. Most of the useful intel will be in fleet or player corp chats where there's less chance of spies.
