Help Plan/Recommendations for an Alt

I have to admit I am pretty new to Eve, but enjoy it a lot. I have 2 accounts both have 3-4mill SP and are 3 months old.

First account I am training to fly Gallente ships and work on PVE mission in Amarr space with a Corp. Looking to fly L4 Securities solo soon.

Second account (alt) I have working on training toward mining so I can afk mine while mission running with my other account.
Its just about to sit in a Mack/Hulk and I will just need to finish Exhumer up to 5 and then polish some processing and refining skills. After a few more weeks it should be done unless I want to get it in an Orca, but I dont have a group where it would pay right now.

As mining isnt amazing profitable. I was thinking about training the second account for combat to go into missions with myother account to speed them a long.

I have 2 screens and play in windowed mode so I can move from one to another effortlessly..

So I am looking on advise for the second account.. What to train it towards.. pretty much a game plan..

Help is appreciated.

Are you looking for a second alt? From reading your post it appears that you already have a main and alt.

My recommendation for the third account is to look for a hole that you want to fill in your gameplan. Do you want exploration or a wormhole alt? Trading or a production alt?

Start the day off slow and taper off from there.

No im sorry.. I mean help figure out what to do with my second alt then its done training for mining..

As I am finding out that mining is great for AFK, its not amazing for profit..

Eventually, you may want to move to Lowsec or Nullsec (highly recommended). If so, you will need a "scout" in a Covert-Ops ship. Then train for scanning if you desire to find PVP targets, or for scanning wormholes or other PVE sites. Then move him on to Recon for more versatility and survival. Scanning alone can eat up months of training, but it is worth it.

Train it the same as the main, go for a pair of sentry domi's for example

AFK mining is bad, dont do AFK mining mmkay.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

A freighter pilot might be handy when you need to move around a large number of ships.
Like say, 100 pvp frigates...

Well its not really akf mining as I keep an eye on the screen and make adjustments when needed.

Maybe in a few months when I know the game more I will go down to lowsec..
First time i did for a corps.. They didnt want to walk me in and I was smart bomded upon warping in..
