Recommended GTC Retailer?

Sorry if this is answered elsewhere. I've found the list of approved GTC retailers, but with so many, I'm looking for one with good reviews. Since I already have an Origin account, I've used them previously, however, they're not instant and say orders can take up to 48 hours. Luckily I've only had to wait a couple hours.

What I'm looking for;
1. Instant
2. No phone call
3. Won't start receiving more spam in my inbox after registration

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Rysdan

Green man gaming have always been good for me. They're instant, and from memory didn't even ask for a phone number.

Why would you want to be getting phone calls from an e-business? Waste of time and just plain annoying. It's perfectly normal to not want to give out your number to websites that might constantly call it.

Phone calls are necessary to verify the identity/country of the buyer. I've bought GTC/keys from three differing sites so far, and all of them only called me once for that purpose alone.

Even PayPal calls you.

I've never been called by paypal. I guess I don't mind a, 'one-time call with the first order'... but I don't want a place that calls each time.

I've used Shattered Crystal [I needed to give someone PLEX for a character transfer, and I was too cheap to pay more ISK]. They called once, for the first transaction.

I wasn't even home, and my roommate took the call. It sounded like the caller looked-up the address on Google Maps, and asked questions about the neighbourhood. My roommate got most of them wrong, but so would have I, as I've never ventured into the back streets of the 'hood. Example: "What's the nearest school? " We knew about the college and university buildings, but not that there was a small K2 three blocks away on a one-way street, so it is unreachable from the main street.

The transaction got approved, and they never called again.

I've known of Markee Dragon for about 15 years or so now, since the UO days (hence "Shattered Crystal") when he was a rare item trader. I've not heard of any bad comments about his site.

I suspect the call is to make sure they have a real number for someone.

Just in case it's a fraudulent card transaction.

I use Shattered Crystal myself. And they only have called me once. On my first transaction with them.

It seems to be more about them makeing sure they have some real contact on you in case of something messing up on transactions...

For me this is cheaper then buying plex from CCP, witch is funny. Its cheaper to buy from delivery chain that has more hands to feed then directly from game company itself...

And as my currency is Euros, and Shattered Crystal uses Dollars, currency conversion is good for me even if paypals rates are not the best... They are better then what my bank would charge for it...

Tip: Buy your GTC from Shattered Crystal through Somer Blink. This way you get Somer Blink credit, which even a loser like me can win a few ships & modules with (hint: buy 1/2 the tickets in a draw using your free credit).

Thanks for the feedback! I went ahead with Shattered Crystal this time. Got the phone call and got my GTC sooner than with Origin. Supposedly instant in the future as they only needed to wait and call for the first time.

Thanks again!

I just buy PLEX from CCP. I mean why not help the company directly?

I'm not looking to buy PLEX, I'm looking to buy 60 day ETC/GTC time codes to sell for ISK. From what I gather, they used to sell them, but the EVEonline store has been down since last October. And I see no products for sale, let alone 60-day Game Time Cards at CCPGames website. Ugh

Would certainly buy from them if I could. However, they don't even list themselves in their Authorized ETC Retailer List

Until they reopen their own store, I'll probable stick with Shattered Crystal.

Thanks again for all the feedback.

I've never been called by PayPal.

I did get called the first time I bought an ETC from Shattered Crystal. I knew they'd calle me, and I was rather anxious, since I'm speech impedied and find speaking English (which is not my first language) to be particularly difficult and uncomfortable. But they were nice and patient, and just asked me a few sensible questions to check my identity.

I've bought ETC from them many times since, and usually get them within 1-3 hours. They've never called me to verify a 2nd time, nor to spam me. Last year I even bought some ETC from them but forgot to log into their site first. Everything went fine anyway, and they emailed me the codes.

Buying 2 Plex from CCP is the same price as the 60 day GTC. (depending on countries involved and exchange rates)
It is why I no longer bother with third party sellers.

Do people pay more isk for the GTC codes or something?

egh, shattered crystal, never had an issue with them.

This kinda reads like "I've got some liberated credit card numbers and want a GTC seller who won't verify the numbers until I've made out like a bandit"
